997 Seeing Eldest Senior Brother again

It was a lot more bustling since it was nearing the time of the competition in Cloud Sea City. Many people walked about on the streets, some selling things, some just watching the fun.

Sima You Yue and Little Seven casually walked around. They didn’t have anywhere specific to go and they just stood around watching the happenings around them.

“Yue Yue, there are so many fake pill ingredients here.” Little Seven made her way out of a shop and said to Sima You Yue.

“How did you know they were fake?”

“I could tell just by smelling it.”

“We aren’t buying it anyway. Let’s go somewhere else to take a look.” Sima You Yue said as she held on to her hand.

“Are we not going to let them know?”

“No need, they’ll figure it out on their own.”

Little Seven nodded and agreed when she thought about it. Those who bought those pill ingredients were alchemists. If they couldn’t even tell that apart, that just proved that they were incredibly stupid.

They walked around the streets but saw nothing interesting. They decided to go to a teahouse to listen out for information instead.

They came to the biggest teahouse in the Cloud Sea city. When they arrived, they happened to be in luck and obtained the last remaining private room.

“This private room is our best one. We initially didn’t have it, but the customers before you seemed to have something urgent to attend to and hurried off. Oh, they just left as you came in.” The waiter who led the way was very warm and he talked as he walked.

Sima You Yue listened to his banter while appraising the tea house.

The entire tea house was decorated ethereally. There was a fake mountain and river in the hall and on the walls were landscape paintings. Every single room had black classic ink paintings or calligraphy.

“This is the private room.” The waiter led them to a pavilion on the third level, opened the door and went in, “This place faces the street and is the most comfortable place to drink tea.”

“It’s really not bad.” Little Seven really liked the decoration of the place and she came to the window, opened it and looked outside, “Yue Yue, look. You can see the Alchemist Guild from here.”

“That’s right. If you look outside, you can see the Alchemist Guild.” The waiter said, “Please wait here, I will serve the tea.”

After speaking, he retreated downstairs. Sima You Yue came to the wind and looked out towards the Alchemist Guild.

“Yue Yue, your Eldest Senior Brother!” Little Seven suddenly called out.

“Senior wouldn’t be here. That should be the young master from the Jiang clan.” Sima You Yue knew that those from the Jiang clan would be coming, so she wasn’t surprised.”

“No, it really is Eldest Senior Brother!” Little Seven said as she pointed to those below.

Sima You Yue looked towards the direction that Little Seven pointed in. It was just a glance but she knew that the person below was Jiang Jun Xian.

Jiang Jun Xian raised his head and saw Sima You Yue. His eyes flashed, then he turned round the corner and disappeared.

Sima You Yue flew down and turned the corner as well, but Jiang Jun Xian had already disappeared.

She ran down the street that he had disappeared, but it was a crossroad. No matter where she looked, she couldn’t catch a single glimpse of him.

“Eldest Senior Brother…”

She looked down each road again , but she couldn’t catch sight of him.

She just wanted to ask how Master has been…

She returned to the private room and Little Seven knew the outcome of what happened when she saw the way she was acting.

“Yue Yue, don’t be too sad. Since he’s here, we’ll definitely see him again.” Little Seven comforted her.

“Yeah.” Sima You Yue came to the tea house and sat down. The waiter had already set their tea down earlier.

“Yue Yue, what would your Eldest Senior Brother be doing here?” Little Seven asked as she sat across her.

“He should be here because of Jiang Jun Zhe.” Sima You Yue siad, “Senior Brother said that the Jiang clan would be here, so Jiang Jun Zhe would be here as well.”

“Will he carry his revenge out here, then?” Little Seven asked.

“I don’t know either.” Sima You Yue said, “I just want to ask him how Master’s life jade is. I don’t plan to ask anything else.”

“That Jiang Clan really does owe him. It would only make sense that he wants to take revenge.”

“But I keep feeling like the reason he’s here this time isn’t because of revenge.” Sima You Yue said, “The inner regions have come to participate in the Cloud Sea City’s events and Eldest Senior Brother has also come. Does this have any relation to each other? It can’t only be because of revenge.”

“There’s no point thinking so much anyway.” Little Seven said, “But when did Xia Zhang Tian and the others say that they were going to get rid of that unknown traitor?”

“There are still two more days.” Little Seven said, “But nothing much has happened.”

“You were in the spirit pagoda with me all day and have no idea what’s going on outside. You wouldn’t know if anything happened.” Sima You Yue said, “Just because we don’t know about it doesn’t mean that nothing is happening.”

“That’s true. It’ll be fun to watch once the time comes.” Little Seven said eagerly, excited for it to happen.

“The central and outer regions have been rather chaotic recently. Most of it is because they want to interfere in the inner regions. They want to reach their evil clutches out to the outer regions. Just what happened to the inner regions that got them to break the equilibrium?” Sima You Yue used a hand to rap the table as she supported her chin with the other hand, saying with puzzlement.

“There’s definitely something that we don’t know about.” Little Seven said, “Let’s go take a walk around as well whenever the opportunity arises. But we can’t do it now, you’re not strong enough. If you go, you’ll suffer a loss.”

Sima You Yue was speechless. Yet again she was disdained for being weak. Now that she mentioned it, she was improving at a slower pace recently. It had been a long time since she advanced in rank.

She rubbed her eyebrows. It was only now that she realised why those spirit masters who specialised in vocations would be so much slower than others in their cultivation. It was simply a matter of not having enough time!

After resting in the tea house for a moment, they prepared to leave. They just left the private room when they heard a commotion downstairs.

“There are people fighting downstairs.” Little Seven said, “There’s someone that we know, too.”

“We’ll know what happened once we go down and take a look.” Sima You Yue said.

When they arrived downstairs, they saw Zhan Liu Er fighting with two others. She knew after listening to two sentences that her high and mighty attitude had caused trouble once again. She insisted on snatching the available private room.

Little seven walked down and saw Zhan Liu Er standing in the large hall. Behind her stood a group of guards that looked especially eye-catching.

“Zhan Liu Er, do you have nothing better to do that you go around making trouble for others. Does it make you feel superior?” Little Seven sneered.

“Who’s there…” Zhan Liu Er raised her head to see Little Seven and Sima You Yue coming down the stairs. Her aggressive face immediately turned solemn.

It was these two again!

She didn’t think that these two would actually be connected to that important person. The last time, she didn’t manage to get rid of them properly. She was even scolded badly by her grandfather.

Now that she had seen them again, she was filled with rage!
