Chapter 512
The Heiress’ Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call
Chapter 512 The Most Unreasonable One in the Family
Sebastian suddenly remarked, âYou know, Wynter doesnât have to worry about us. Apart from Albert,
nobody in this group really cares about Dad.â
CEO Albert: âSebastian, heâs still our father after all. Until we have solid evidence, we shouldnât jump to
conclusions. And if Mom finds out weâre suspicious of Dad, sheâll be upset, too.â
Sebastian took off his glasses, a glint of malice in his eyes. âIf Dad really did something to hurt Mom
and Wynter for his own benefit, then he doesnât deserve to be called our father.â
CEO Albert: âWynter didnât explicitly state that.â
Sebastian didnât hold back. âBut if she did, then we need to take action. Itâs no wonder she hasnât
reached
out to us brothers after being back for so long.
âWe always talk about protecting Wynter, but have we really done that? Thatâs likely what Grandpa was
worried about, which is why he didnât disclose everything to us that day.
âDad insisted on bringing Naomi into our home as a sponsee, almost as if trying to replace Wynter. If I
were Wynter, I wouldnât rely on these useless brothers either, especially knowing that Mom might have
suffered because of Dad.â
CEO Albert: âSebastian Quinnell!â
Sebastian put his glasses back on and added, âRelax, Albert. I suspect Dadâs been pretty preoccupied
lately, so he might not even be aware of Momâs recovery. Right, Tobias?â
Tobias wasnât certain, as Wynter hadnât mentioned anything about it, seemingly disregarding their
father
altogether.
Noticing Tobiasâ silence, Sebastian reminded him, âYou can always ask Wynter about it.
you
know?â
Tobias gritted his teeth and typed back, âWynter didnât bring it up out of respect for our dignity. Why
should I confront her directly and embarrass myself?
If Wynter refuses to accept Dad as her father, so be it. Iâll still be her brother, regardless.â
Tobias felt a sense of relief after expressing his thoughts to his brothers.
Sebastian smiled. âThen relay my message to Wynter: Iâve been at odds with Dad since birth, and as
an attorney, Iâm skilled in handling divorce cases. If Mom makes up her mind, she can always divorce
Dad and keep her children.â
Elliot, who had just joined the group chat, chimed in, âJust arrived at the suburbs. Divorce isnât a bad
idea. Albert, what do you think?â
Albert remained silent, wondering if his younger brothers were venting their dissatisfaction with Shane
behind his back.
He decided to give his brothers a heads up, âDad did approach me recently to discuss Wynter.â
2/2
Sebastian retorted mercilessly. âHe tattled to you? When will this old man learn to grow up?â
Albert rubbed his brows and responded, âSebastian, do you think Dad hasnât given any thought to
this?â
After a brief pause, Sebastian replied bluntly. âThatâs the problem. He overthinks things. Sometimes, I
canât help but wonder if heâs biologically related to Grandpa.
Albert thought that if Shane werenât related by blood to the Quinnells, that would make Sebastian
Fabianâs
illegitimate grandson, too.
Albert sighed deeply. âYou guys are being too hard on Dad. One of us has to keep him in check,
especially considering how strong Mom and Dadâs relationship is,
Tobias finally grasped Albertâs intention. âAre you concerned that Mor may not take it well if she finds
out what Dad has done, Albert?â
Albert responded, âExactly. If Dad really has something to do with Momâs illness, it could be
traumatizing
for her.
âWhen Grandpa mentioned what happened at the hotel, I also sensed something was off. We Quinnells
are a clever lot, so how could Dad be so foolish?â
Sebastian tapped on his desk and then replied, âHeâs not a fool. He simply didnât anticipate Kaspar
Stavious to show up there.â
CEO Albert. âEven if another fortune teller besides Kaspar went to the hotel that day, Dad could have
easily regained control as long as he could prove that Wynter was incapable of managing the hotel.â
Sebastianâs gaze grew chilly. âSo, why did Dad come to see you?â
CEO Albert: âHe wants us to convince Wynter to be reasonable, as he hasnât given up on adopting
Noami. Elliot retorted with a message, âSays the most unreasonable one in the whole family.â
