Chapter 1321
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1321:
Madisyn wasnât finished. She turned to Andrew, her voice cool and firm.
âMr. Klein, remember what I told you. You must personally question those responsible for worsening Commander Thatcherâs condition. Resolving this matter and ensuring justice is served will contribute to his recovery when he wakes up.â
âDonât worry. I will.â
Andrew nodded before shifting his gaze to Elton.
âYou heard Dr. Mia. Youâve been in charge of detaining those involved. I need to see them.â
As Andrew still held some authority in the military, he made it clear that this wasnât a request. Elton had no choice but to comply.
âOf course. Lowe will take you there later.â
Though he agreed outwardly, a flicker of relief surfaced within him. Fortunately, he had been prudent enough to handle those people in advance. Yet, with Dr. Mia standing right in front of him, he couldnât afford to relax.
Madisyn spoke again.
âThereâs nothing more for now. Letâs step out. Commander Thatcher needs a quiet environment for his IV treatment.â
âAlright.â
With that, the ward was left in silence, save for the steady beeping of machines. A dedicated nurse remained to monitor Denby, ensuring the IV bottle would be changed when needed.
Meanwhile, Elton instructed Lowe to escort Andrew to meet the detainees. As for himself, he retreated to his car and lit a cigarette. Tomorrow, Dr. Mia would begin treatment. And once Denby regained consciousness⦠everything would change.
Elton sat there for a long time, watching the sky darken as he reached for the last cigarette in the pack. The dim ember cast a faint glow over his face. A few minutes later, he flicked the spent cigarette away and stepped out of the car.
The military hospital was quiet in the evening. Most of the doctors had gone for the day, leaving only a few nurses to handle shift changes. Moving with practiced ease, Elton slipped past the security cameras, making his way discreetly up the side of the building.
One ward over, Madisyn, Andrew, Lowe, and the guard team leader stood in tense silence, watching the live feed from a hidden camera in Denbyâs ward.

Lowe glanced at the screen, noting the wardâs stillness. His brow furrowed in confusion. Andrew had insisted on visiting the detainees, yet somehow, they had ended up back here. Lowe just couldnât figure out why.
A suffocating tension filled the air, heavy with unspoken foreboding, forcing Lowe into an uneasy silence.
His instincts screamed danger, though he couldnât pinpoint why. Up until now, his superior remained unaware he had been brought here by Andrew.
Just as this thought crossed Loweâs mind, the silence shattered with a soft âclick.â
Through Denbyâs ward window, someone gracefully slipped inside with practiced stealth.
Lowe and the guard team leader froze, their shock doubling when they saw the intruderâs face.
âLieutenant General Avila?â
They stood paralyzed, instinctively waiting for Andrewâs lead.
Yet Andrew and Madisyn remained eerily composed, as if Eltonâs unconventional entrance through the window had been expected all along.
