Chapter 1362
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1362:
Understanding his concerns, she looked at the boxes in front of her.
This wasnât something they could ignore. They had to talk.
âHoney, letâs unpack these later. I want to talk to you first.â
Andrew pressed his lips into a thin line.
He knew buying only baby supplies for a girl had been wrong. As a mother, it was natural for Madisyn to focus on their child, and as a father, he should be patient and supportive, not add to the tension. He understood that in his head. But in reality, the feelings still stung. That frustration had led him to buy these thingsânot just for the baby, but as a way to express what he couldnât say outright.
But Madisyn saw right through him.
His fingers trembled slightly. She was already carrying so much, working so hardâhe couldnât let his emotions weigh her down.
With that thought, Andrew sat down beside her on the sofa.
He was bracing himself to apologize, to tell her he wouldnât let these thoughts get to him again.
But before he could say a word, Madisyn reached for his hand and placed it gently on her belly.
His breath caught. The second his palm touched her, he felt itâthe tiny, active movement of their baby.
Madisynâs gaze was warm, steady. âHoney, whether itâs a boy or a girl, this is our baby. We should both welcome them with open hearts. As for what you just said⦠youâre right.â She paused, her tone turning soft with regret. âLately, I have been soâ¦â
Focused on the baby, I havenât paid enough attention to you. Iâm sorry, love.â Her sincerity struck Andrew like a wave.
âBut donât overthink it. Yes, our baby is important to me, but you are even more important. If something bothers you, tell me instead of keeping it bottled up. Iâd rather know and fix it than have you silently hurting.â
Andrew stared at her, momentarily stunned.

He watched her lips move, taking in each word, but more than that, he felt them.
Madisyn took his hand in both of hers. âYouâre the person I chose to spend my life with. No one will ever matter to me the way you do. Weâre husband and wife firstâbefore anything else, even before being parents. You are my home. Do you understand? So donât ever think Iâll forget about you just because we have a baby. That wonât happen, I promise.â
Then, without hesitation, she leaned in and kissed him.
The moment their lips met, something inside Andrew eased. The tension that had been weighing him down dissolved, replaced by warmth, by certainty.
When they finally pulled apart, his eyes were clear, his heart light. He wanted to make up for his earlier mistake.
âBabe, I was wrong. Iâm sorry. Iâll buy a whole set of things for a boy tooââ
Before he could reach for his phone, Madisyn stopped him with a quick hand on his wrist. âDonât rush. The important thing is that we worked through this. We donât even know the babyâs gender yet. Everything I designed works for either one. Letâs wait until the babyâs born, then you can go on a shopping spree.â
Andrew chuckled, nodding. âAlright, Iâll listen to you.â
