Chapter 1374
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1374:
Nana, however, had other plans. The moment she set foot inside the manor, her first thought was of her usual playmate, Sunny.
Spotting him, she rushed over and grabbed his hand, looking up at him with wide, eager eyes. âSunny, have you seen El yet?â she asked, her tone filled with mystery.
Sunny, who lived at the manor, had of course seen El. He gave a simple nod. âYeah, Iâve seen him.â
Nanaâs little brows furrowed at his answer. âYou already saw him?â she huffed, clearly displeased. But she recovered quickly, her curiosity taking over once more. âDid you give him any toys?â
This time, Sunny shook his head.
Nanaâs confidence instantly returned. Puffing out her chest, she declared, âMy mommy says El is my cousin, and that means heâs your cousin too! Since heâs our little cousin, we have to give him our favorite toys. That way, heâll be happy and want to play with us in the future!â
Sunny thought about her words. He couldnât really argue with her logic, so he simply nodded.
Beaming with pride, Nana held up the toys she had brought and nudged him. âThen go get your best toys, too! Letâs go see our cousin together.â
âOkay.â
Sunny hurried off to gather his own treasured playthings, and then, the two children made their way towards the nursery.
However, while Nana had envisioned a warm and lively introduction, reality had other plans.
When she and Sunny reached Elâs crib, their hands full of carefully chosen gifts, they found the tiny baby peacefully asleep, his eyes shut tight. Nana called out, âEl,â a few times, but when he didnât stir, she hesitated, unsure of what to do next.
Frowning, she tugged on Madisynâs sleeve, her face scrunched up in concern. âMom, the baby is so tiny⦠Why wonât he play with me and Sunny? Why is he still sleeping?â
Evie, who had always adored Nana, let out a soft laugh and answered before Madisyn could.

Evie smiled and said, âEl is really happy to see you, Nana, but heâs still too young to play with you. Itâll take some time before he can join you. And donât forget, you were just like him when you were little. You were in your crib too, the first time I saw you.â
Nana blinked in surprise and turned to Evie. âHuh? I was like this too?â
She glanced back at baby El, bundled up in soft blankets, then looked down at her own hands and feet as if trying to process an earth-shattering discovery.
Nana gasped dramatically, covering her mouth with both hands. âNo way! But⦠but I donât remember that at all!â Her little face turned pink at the thought.
She quickly turned to Sunny, leaning in as if sharing a secret. âSunny, youâre older than me. Do you remember what I was like when I was a baby?â
Sunny, who was just a year older, furrowed his brows and shook his head. âNope. I donât remember.â
Nana let out a deep sigh of relief. âThatâs good!â She nodded to herself, satisfied.
