Chapter 166
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 166:
Madisyn had exposed her chat records with Gilbert.
The chats revealed a very different storyâGilbert had bombarded her with numerous questions, all of which Madisyn had patiently answered one by one. He had even requested her help in handling business matters at his company, and Madisyn had obliged, going out of her way to assist him.
In the extensive chat records, it was always Gilbert asking for advice, and Madisyn responding with care and patience. Despite the endless questions, Madisyn never showed signs of annoyance. Those reading the chats couldnât help but admire her temperament.

To them, the typically arrogant Gilbert seemed surprisingly ignorant in these exchanges.
One of the classmates, holding his phone tightly, could sense through the screen just how patient and gentle Madisyn had been with him. Yet Gilbert had discredited her in front of others.
Anyone could see that if such a woman were another manâs girlfriend, he would cherish her deeply.
âWhatâs up?â
The man next to him nudged him, pulling him from his thoughts. âWhy did you suddenly go quiet?â
He handed his phone to his classmate, who became serious upon reading the post.
At the same time, everyone present slowly began to notice the trending post on the school forum. They glanced at Gilbert and Jenna with complicated expressions, though neither of them had yet grasped the situation.
âHowâs the meal, guys?â Jenna asked with a smile, her tone tinged with her usual arrogance.
Noticing the silence and strange looks, she frowned. âWhatâs wrong?â
âI donât think itâs fair to always expect Gilbert to pay. Tell us how much the meal is. Letâs split the bill,â one of the boys suggested.
Jenna frowned. âWhy? Wouldnât that be a burden for some?â
âNow that weâve eaten, we should be responsible for it,â the boy said indifferently.
Sensing something off, Jenna chose not to press further, though she felt irritated. She had been kind to these people, so why were they suddenly acting standoffish? Did they really think she wanted to have dinner with them? Her real motive had been to humiliate Madisyn in front of their old classmates.
Jenna didnât refuse the proposal to split the bill, and everyone left shortly after dinner.
âJenna,â Giana said with a complicated expression, âhave you seen the post on the forum?â
âWhat post?â Jenna asked, confused. âDid Madisyn make trouble for me online?â
From Jennaâs puzzled look, Giana realized she was clueless about the situation. Giana showed Jenna the post, knowing that withholding the truth might cause Jenna to blame her later.
Jenna casually picked up the phone to check, but as she scrolled through the content, a cold shiver ran down her spine, and she gripped the phone tighter.
Noticing her focus, Gilbert leaned over to take a look.
When he saw the familiar chat records displayed on the screen, his mind blanked.
Gilbert had never expected Madisyn to expose their private conversations.
It meant his deception was laid bare for all to see.
The chats revealed he hadnât been helping Madisynâshe had been the one helping him throughout high school. Gilbert had deeply appreciated her patience and kindness back then, rooted in her feelings for him.
But if she truly cared for him, why wouldnât she keep his secrets? Why did she post these messages?
His body stiffened, his eyes reddening with anger.
Seeing their distress, Giana didnât dare say another word.
After reading the post, Jenna turned to Gilbert, âGilbertâ¦â
Gilbertâs face drained of color, his emotions too jumbled to voice. Without replying, he abruptly left the room.
Jenna gritted her teeth in frustration.
What had truly happened between Madisyn and Gilbert in the past?
She had no time to dwell on Gilbertâs sudden departure because her attention was caught by a flood of messages from other schoolmates in a chat group on Gianaâs phone. As she read them, her face turned ashen.
âI canât believe it. Gilbert is so shameless. Madisyn was so kind to him, but he dumped her and teamed up with Jenna to bully her. Is he still a man?â
âMadisyn is a good girl. She might seem cold, but sheâs warm-hearted. Seeing how she helped Gilbert really touched me. Why canât I find a girlfriend like her?â
âLet Jenna and Gilbert stay together forever. Theyâre perfect for each otherâboth vicious.â
âIâm suddenly worried about Madisyn. What will Asher do to her?â
âSpeaking of Asher, he usually avoids these gatherings. Maybe Jenna told him Madisyn would be here.â
âIâve had enough of these two. Letâs keep our distance from them from now on.â
Admiration for Jenna and Gilbert had quickly shifted into disdain, while sympathy surged for Madisyn.
Jennaâs fury boiled over, and in a fit of rage, she hurled Gianaâs phone against the wall, shattering it into pieces.
âThose idiots! I treated them to dinner, and this is how they repay me? Madisyn isnât a saint. Theyâre just a bunch of sheep, blindly following her narrative!â Jenna fumed.
Seeing her new phone shattered, Gianaâs heart ached, but she kept quiet.
Jenna, however, suddenly laughed, her mood shifting as she muttered, âMadisyn might have sealed her own fate this time after crossing Asher. Yadira wonât let her get away with this.â
