Chapter 190
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 190:
âTeresa, what are you doing here by yourself?â Kian asked with concern.
Teresa felt a wave of relief at his reaction; it seemed he was unaware of her deceit. Suddenly, a surge of grievance washed over her, and tears began to form in her eyes as she said, âKian⦠Itâs all Madisynâs fault. That awful woman has been bullying meâ¦â She went on to describe Madisynâs cruel actions.
Kianâs anger flared immediately. âI didnât realize Madisyn could be so malicious. Sheâs crossed the line! Iâm going to make things right for you right now.â He took Teresaâs hand and started walking.
Teresa wondered if he was going to confront Madisyn, but she was surprised when he led her to the main villa, where Dane and the senior leaders were. Teresaâs face drained of color in fear. âKian, why are you bringing me here?â
âWeâll go meet your brother. Heâll definitely stand up for you once he knows the truth. Heâll fire Madisyn right away.â
But Teresa stopped and said, âItâs not that simple. Madisyn isnât so easy to deal with. If it were that easy, I would have already had her fired. Sheâs manipulative and has seduced my brother, making him distant from me.â

âHow is that possible?â Kian asked in surprise.
Teresa turned and said, âLetâs get out of here quickly.â Kian bit his lip. He was eager to see Dane, but after hearing Teresaâs explanation, he realized they had to leave immediately.
However, as they were leaving, they ran into Liza and her group. The moment Liza spotted Teresa, she rushed over. âTeresa, I knew youâd be here! Weâve been searching for you everywhere but couldnât find you. So, you did come to see Mr. Johns. How did it go? Did he help you with your frustrations? And did he mention anything about firing Madisyn?â
Everyone watched Teresa with anticipation.
âI didnât go to see my brother. Madisyn has managed to deceive him,â Teresa replied.
âReally?â Liza frowned. âThat canât be right. Weâre your friends. We canât just stand by while Madisyn mistreats you. Letâs go see Mr. Johns together and reveal Madisynâs true nature.â
âNo, thank you,â Teresa interrupted. âI know my brother well. Letâs deal with this later when he loses interest in Madisyn.â
After hearing her words, everyone reluctantly decided to back down. However, when they glanced toward the main villa, they spotted a familiar figure through the window. It was Madisyn, unmistakably.
How could she be here? The sight darkened everyoneâs mood. It seemed Teresaâs claims were accurate; Madisyn had indeed been manipulating Dane. Anger brewed among them. They had always been close to Teresa, but now Madisyn had garnered the attention they couldnât get.
Their frustration grew.
âTeresa, no. Weâre going to make things right for you today,â Liza declared, heading toward the villa. The others followed closely behind. They were convinced that Dane had been deceived by Madisyn. They believed that if they exposed her together, they could change his opinion of her.
Seeing them head for the door, Teresa panicked. She dashed toward them and blocked their path. âStop right there! If anyone goes in there, I wonât associate with you anymore,â Teresa shouted suddenly, leaving everyone stunned and bewildered.
âTeresa, weâre doing this to help you,â Liza said, looking baffled.
Teresa regained her composure and realized her earlier outburst was hasty. âPlease, just go back for my sake. I know my brother better than you do.â Everyone frowned and fell silent.
As they were about to turn away, the door swung open. Daneâs assistant peered out and asked, âWhat can I do for you?â
âNothing. Weâre leaving now,â Teresa said with an apologetic smile.
Kian caught sight of several people dining inside through the gap in the door. Dane, Madisyn, Andrew, and⦠Evie? Why was Evie there? Kianâs fist tightened, and he strode in without hesitation.
Liza was taken aback. âKian?â
Teresa couldnât stop Kian in time. She saw Evie at the table and felt equally confused.
âIt seems you all have something to discuss. Please, come in,â the assistant said casually.
The others exchanged glances and finally chose to enter. Teresa tried to intervene but found no reason to stop them. She could only watch as they walked in. As Kian approached the table, he felt immense pressure. The presence of Dane and Andrew was overwhelming, making him feel as though he might buckle under their weight.
