Chapter 212
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 212:
Susan was so calm on the other end of the line that Madisyn began to wonder if she had only overthought things.
âMaybe. How have you been doing recently? We havenât seen each other for a while. Iâm sorry; Iâve been busy with the entertainment company and barely get free time.â
âIâm doing well,â Susan answered. She pursed her lips and added, âMadisyn, Iâm sorry. I may have to leave the company.â
âWhat? Why so sudden?â
âYeah. I also donât want to, but something is going on at home, and I need to be there,â Susan replied softly.
Madisyn wanted to ask what was going on, but sensing that Susanâs mood was a bit unusual, she swallowed her words. She didnât know much about Susanâs family situation, but she could tell that Susan came from a relatively poor background. After all, Susan had been working part-time since high school.
âAlright. If thatâs your final decision, I support you. But if you need any help, you must tell me, okay?â Madisyn said with a solemn expression.
âOkay. But donât worry about me. I can manage. Iâll take care of myself,â Susan assured Madisyn with a smile. They talked for a while before hanging up together. It seemed nothing had been revealed.

Madisyn decided to let it go. If Susan was really with her brother, there must be a reason why Susan didnât tell her. Besides, it was their private affair; she couldnât interfere.
The next day, Madisyn didnât get up at the usual time. It was the weekend, and she didnât need to go to work. Since Madisyn woke up on the right side of the bed, she was in a good mood. Besides, she would meet Andrew today.
After breakfast, Madisyn prepared to pick up Andrew at the airport. But before she could leave, she received a call from him. It turned out he was already at the gate.
Madisyn was so happy that she immediately rushed out. Dane massaged his temples, feeling a headache. While he watched Madisyn leaving happily, his eyes became deep.
Elaine noticed him staring ahead. She smiled and commented, âIt seems Madisyn and Andrewâs relationship is quite stable.â
Dane just snorted coldly.
Elaine gave him a look. âWhat about you? Do you have someone you like now? Youâre almost thirty, but you still donât have a girlfriend. Your sister may get married soon. Are you planning to be the countryâs most eligible bachelor all your life?â
âMomâ¦â Dane looked at Elaine with a frown. He was obviously annoyed.
âOkay, fine. I wonât push you. But you should pay attention to this matter.â
Elaine didnât deny that she had been wanting to have grandchildren. After all, she was fond of children. So she really hoped Dane would get married soon and have a happy family.
After having breakfast with Elaine and Glenn, Dane left. Elaine couldnât help saying to Glenn, âDonât you think Dane is acting a bit strange today?â
Glenn was also a man. Naturally, he could tell what was wrong with Dane. âLetâs not worry too much about the childrenâs matters, okay? They are all adults now. Weâve done our part raising them, so let them deal with their own affairs. Itâs time that we enjoy our own time, honey.â
âYouâre right,â Elaine immediately agreed.
Madisyn went out excitedly. Sure enough, she saw Andrew at the gate.
After not seeing him for a few days, she felt like he had become even more imposing.
âHoneyâ¦â When Andrew looked at Madisyn, the cold aura in his body immediately dissipated, replaced by a warm, spring-like presence.
Madisyn smiled sweetly at him. âCome on, letâs talk in the car.â
Andrew opened the passenger seat door and gentlemanly let Madisyn get in first. Then, he turned to the driverâs seat and got in as well. Madisyn turned and looked at him. âWhy are you here so early?â
âBecause I wanted to see you sooner.â
Andrew stared at Madisyn with his dark, deep-set eyes for a while. Then, his greedy gaze moved from her clear, beautiful eyes to her rosy lips. Suddenly, he grabbed her chin.
His kiss carried a faint smell of mint. Madisynâs heart raced wildly, as if it were about to jump out of her chest.
After an unknown amount of time, she felt like all the oxygen in her body was sucked out. Finally, Andrew let her go. Their gazes locked for a moment, and then he suddenly said, âHoney, donât look at me like that. It makes me think you are deliberately seducing me.â
Madisyn was stunned. She looked at him with her mouth slightly open in incredulity. What was he talking about?
Before Madisyn could react, Andrew took her hand and asked, âShall we go shopping first?â
âOkay,â Madisyn nodded.
Their date was no different from those of ordinary couples. Madisyn didnât particularly enjoy shopping, but the feeling of doing it with Andrew was different. He never got tired of being with her and patiently gave her advice.
Madisyn looked around the store for a while, but she didnât find anything particularly stunning, so she walked out. To her surprise, the sales assistant followed her with a bunch of shopping bags.
âWhatâs this? I didnât buy anything,â Madisyn said in confusion.
âI bought them,â Andrew said, looking at her tenderly. âI saw you looking at them a few times just now, so take them home and wear them anytime you want.â
Madisyn looked at him and blinked a few times. Was this what wealthy people did? She was truly overwhelmed by his generosity.
Andrew gave the sales assistant an address and asked her to send the clothes there.
Madisyn said to Andrew, âI already have many clothes at home. Thereâs no need to buy more.â
âDonât women always want more clothes?â Andrew asked with a smile.
Madisyn didnât answer; she only pursed her lips. She remembered her life when she was with the Chapman family. Although she was known as a rich lady, she had very few clothes because Phyllis never bought her any.
