Chapter 214
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 214:
Yes, Giana and Madisyn were once close friends. They shared a deep bond. Giana came from a humble background and wore worn-out clothes in high school. She felt somewhat inferior due to her lack of money and was often picked on by her classmates. It was Madisyn who stepped in to fend them off.
To Giana, Madisyn was nothing short of an angel. Back then, Giana dreamed of spending more time with her. She gathered the courage to talk to Madisyn daily and even bought her gifts with the little money she had.
Eventually, Madisyn took notice, but she said, âI donât need anything. You donât have to buy me anything anymore.â
Giana timidly asked, âCan we hang out together?â
After a brief pause, Madisyn replied, âOkay.â
From that moment, Giana was never alone again. She was always by Madisynâs side, and her classmates began to warm up to her.
âGiana, why are you crying?â The sudden question snapped Giana back to reality. She looked down and said, âLetâs head back. I just remembered I have something else to take care of.â She walked away.
Meanwhile, Madisyn and Andrew enjoyed their day, ending up at a restaurant for lunch. Madisyn got a message from Susan, saying, âGiana sent me a message. Did she send one to you?â Susan shared the screenshot with Madisyn.
Gianaâs message said, âSusan, Iâm sorry. I confess I was wrong. I was too down on myself. I didnât want to live in Madisynâs shadow anymore, so I distanced myself from you. Iâm going to chase my dreams and stand on my own now. Until I reach the top, I wonât contact you again.â
Madisyn looked calm and said, âIâve blocked her.â
When Madisyn checked the intercepted messages, she saw the same one from Giana. Perhaps this was for the best.

After lunch, Madisyn received a message from Evie, saying, âEverything is set up. Madisyn, you and my brother can head to the hotel. Iâve booked a room and left a gift there for you.â
Raising her eyebrows, Madisyn tentatively asked Andrew, âAre you feeling tired? Should we head back to the hotel to rest a bit later?â
âSure.â
At a high-end hotel. In the presidential suite, petals were scattered across the bed, and a gift lay upon it. Andrew entered the suite with Madisyn. Noticing the setup, he turned to her.
Madisynâs cheeks were tinged pink. âIâve prepared a gift for you.â
Andrew smiled and said, âWhat is it?â
âYouâll see in a moment.â
In fact, she wasnât sure herself. Evie had assured her that Andrew would love it. But what could it be? Surely Evie wouldnât mislead her, right?
Madisyn allowed herself to feel a bit of excitement. Then Andrew approached the gift box and opened it slowly. Watching him, Madisyn felt both eager and slightly anxious.
As he unveiled the gift, his expression turned to surprise, and his ears reddened. Madisyn had imagined Andrew looking pleased or composed, but she hadnât anticipated his shy reaction. Why? What could be inside?
Curiosity piqued, Madisyn moved closer. Her eyes widened when she saw the contents of the box. My goodness. She hadnât expected Evie to be so daring. Yet, Evie was onto something; guys would surely like it. Because it was sexy lingerie!
Andrew turned to Madisyn, his eyes alight with excitement, and asked softly, âSweetheart, are you serious?â
âCan I say I picked up the wrong gift?â Madisyn replied, feeling a bit helpless.
âOh?â Andrewâs face returned to its usual stoic look. âThen where did this come from?â
Madisyn felt uneasy under Andrewâs scrutinizing gaze. âSweetheart, relax.â Andrew suddenly embraced her. âYou didnât buy this gift, did you?â
Being the perceptive person he was, Andrew figured it out right away.
With a sigh, Madisyn confessed, âNo.â
âThenâ¦â Andrew continued, âWas it Evie?â
Madisyn was taken aback. How did he guess it was Evieâs doing? Her expression gave her away.
Andrew caressed her cheek and said, âI know you too well. You wouldnât buy this. The only friend who would is Evie. Iâll have a word with her when I get back.â
âDonât,â Madisyn quickly interjected. âEvie means well. I wasnât sure what youâd like, so I asked her for some advice. But Evieâ¦â
Evie hadnât realized they werenât quite at that stage yet. Andrew said, âOkay, letâs set this aside for now.â
Madisyn nodded.
âAre you tired? You should rest,â Andrew suggested kindly.
âWhat about you?â
âIâll relax on the sofa for a bit.â Madisyn nodded again.
It was her first time sharing a room with Andrew, though they werenât sharing the bed.
