Chapter 223
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 223:
Was Madisyn truly so captivating that she could steal everyoneâs attention? Watching Jared and Madisyn engaged in conversation as they walked past her, Tatiana quickly stood up and reminded Jared, âMr. Cooper, Iâm Tatiana. We have a meeting scheduled for 6:30.â
Jared gave her a brief glance and responded, âIâm dealing with something important at the moment. You can go now.â
Tatianaâs expression darkened immediately. They had been waiting for what felt like forever, only to be brushed off because of Madisynâs arrival? In that instant, Tatiana couldnât suppress the wave of resentment that surged against Madisyn.
Picking up on her mood, Jared added with a cold edge in his voice, âI said you can leave now.â
With no other option left, Tatiana reluctantly walked out with her assistant.
âWere they here to discuss some kind of collaboration with you?â Madisyn asked, curious about the situation.
âIâve known Tatiana for a while now. I used to think she was a decent person and that she aligned well with our brand,â Jared replied. âBut now, it seems like sheâs too irritable and reckless.â
âTatiana isnât as good as she seems,â Madisyn responded indifferently. Howard had nearly lost his life for Tatiana, but she repaid him by abandoning him for another man. A person who couldnât appreciate or repay kindness would eventually face the consequences of their actions.
Jared immediately understood what Madisyn meant. âAlright, Iâll make sure we donât work with her then. Besides, youâre in charge of your familyâs entertainment company now, so if we need to choose a spokesperson, Iâll choose someone from there.â
Without denying his statement, Madisyn simply walked into the CEOâs office to go over the companyâs most recent projects.
Jared stood off to the side, waiting respectfully while she worked.
After twenty minutes, Madisyn finally finished handling the unresolved issues. She set the keyboard aside and stood up, announcing, âIâll be heading out now.â
Jared couldnât help but admire her even more when he saw the documents filled with annotations. âBoss, donât leave just yet. Itâs been a long time since we last caught up. How about we have dinner together?â
Madisyn paused, feeling a bit hesitant. Jared persisted, âBoss, have you forgotten about us now that youâve got a boyfriend? Thereâs something I need to discuss with you about the organization. Letâs talk it over at dinner.â
Madisyn originally planned to have dinner with Andrew, but after thinking it over, she realized it had been ages since she last had dinner with Jared. Though hesitant, she agreed.
Jared was absolutely delighted. Having the chance to dine with his boss was a rare privilege, and he was fully determined to make the most out of this special opportunity. He quickly reserved a table at the Martinez Hotel, one of the oldest and most prestigious hotels in Ansport.
While they were on their way to the hotel, Madisyn contemplated how to inform Andrew about the change in her plans, but then she received a message from Andrew.
It read, âSweetheart, thereâs a banquet tonight I have to attend, so I might not be able to join you for dinner.â
A sense of relief washed over Madisyn. She quickly replied, âThatâs fine; I have some other things I need to take care of today anyway.â
âBoss, weâve arrived.â Upon reaching the Martinez Hotel, Jared eagerly introduced the place to Madisyn. âThis hotel has stood for centuries. Itâs never shut its doors, and its business has only flourished over the years. While it may not be the most extravagant place, it holds great respect, and the food here is also pretty unique.â
Madisyn nodded, acknowledging his words.
Their private dining room was located on the third floor of the hotel. As they passed by the second floor, Jared explained, âThe second floor is reserved for banquets. Our company has held several events here in the past.â
As they ascended in the elevator, they caught a glimpse of the banquet hall. It was opulent and radiated a sense of authority. Ansport had a distinctly different vibe from Gemond, which seemed more about indulgence and luxury.
