Chapter 235
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 235:
Jeffry had always believed that Madisyn was responsible for the Chapman familyâs downfall. He never realized that, without her, the family would have crumbled long ago. A wave of weakness consumed him as he stared at Madisyn, tears welling in his eyes and his throat dry, unable to speak.
Jenna, too, looked at Madisyn, her face reflecting shock and anger.
âMadisyn, Dad and Mom raised you, yet you chose to cancel all partnerships with the Chapman Group right after you parted ways with our family? Will you really be able to live with yourself if our family collapses?â Jenna shouted, her voice brimming with fury.
She couldnât believe that Madisyn had gained such influence, and she was even more outraged that Madisyn refused to support the Chapman family. In her eyes, Madisyn was obligated to help them.
âHuh!â Jared couldnât help but find the situation ironic. âBoss, your sister is quite the character. You two, leave now and donât come back to Homelight Enterprise!â he said sharply.
âMr. Cooper, donât you think Madisyn is being cruel? She might not even be alive if it werenât for the Chapman family!â Jenna fired back, convinced of her own righteousness and sure of Madisynâs fault.
âLeave!â Jared ordered firmly.
The security guards swiftly entered, seized Jeffry and Jenna, and threw them out.
Jenna, still wanting to cause a scene, was silenced when Jeffry, finally coming to his senses, slapped her sharply across the face.
âYouâre worthless! Youâre not even half as good as Madisyn, and yet you still have the nerve to shout here?â Jeffry was overwhelmed with regret. The Chapman familyâs success had always been because of Madisyn. How had Jenna, who was about the same age as Madisyn, fallen so far behind?
Why had they pushed Madisyn away in the first place?

Had they treated her well, Homelight Enterprise would have continued to support them, along with the Johns Group. They could have risen to the top.
As Jeffry stared at Jenna, he suddenly remembered something. âItâs all because you set Madisyn up back then! If it werenât for your actions, we wouldnât have pushed her away. Youâve brought this misfortune upon us! Youâre a curse!â
Jennaâs eyes widened with shock. She hadnât expected to be berated like this by her father. Anger surged through her. âDad, how can you accuse me like this? Do we really have to rely on Madisyn for everything?â
âBe quiet, you piece of trash!â Jeffry lost his temper and slapped her again, leaving her face tingling and a sour taste in her mouth.
Jennaâs dreams of a luxurious life were falling apart before her eyes.
Back in the office, Jared was still fuming. âNone of the Chapmans are worth a dime!â
âForget about them,â Madisyn said icily. âWe need to concentrate on our own affairs.â
Noticing her indifference, Jared decided to drop the subject.
They talked business for a while before setting out to visit one of their stores.
Madisyn was surprised when she saw the storeâs locationâit was situated in an exceptionally prime spot.
âItâs thanks to your reputation. All the malls now offer us the best locations,â Jared explained, clearly admiring her. âAnd the designs you create are immensely popular. Theyâre pricey, but theyâve become the most sought-after items in our shops.â He then guided Madisyn into the store.
As they walked in, the sales staff greeted them warmly. âHello, Mr. Cooper.â
âDonât worry about me; keep doing your job,â Jared said, waving them off before leading Madisyn to the main display. The dress on the model was one of her creations. She glanced at the price tag and couldnât help but remark, âIf everything goes as expected, this dress might stay here forever.â
Jared rubbed his head thoughtfully. âYour design is incredible. We just need to find the right customer.â
âFinding the right customer? Thatâs quite a challenge,â Madisyn replied.
Who would spend twenty million on a dress? It wasnât made of gold.
Though she was confident in her design, she also understood its limitations.
As they were talking, someone entered the store.
âWait⦠Madisyn?â a familiar voice called out.
It was Courtney, accompanied by Tatiana.
Madisyn was surprised to see them together⦠as friends. She nodded in recognition.
Tatiana regarded Madisyn with visible disapproval, assuming she must be the reason Maxine became the spokesperson for Blossom Grace instead of her.
âOh, I almost forgot. You two are cousins, arenât you?â Tatiana asked.
Courtney appeared surprised and asked, âYou two know each other?â
âYeah, something like that,â Tatiana responded casually. Her gaze shifted to Madisyn and Jared, and her expression grew slightly colder. âMiss Johns, I didnât know you and Mr. Cooper were so close. Are you two⦠together?â
Jared quickly interrupted, âDonât be absurd!â
Tatiana seemed satisfied with his response, as if it validated her belief that Jared had no romantic interest in Madisyn. After all, how could he be interested in someone who had just returned from the countryside?
Courtney arched an eyebrow, watching Jared and Madisyn with curiosity.
Tatiana continued, âMiss Johns, I see youâre a fan of Sierraâs designs?â
âOf course, I like them,â Madisyn answered.
How could she not appreciate her own creations?
Tatiana grinned, seizing the moment. âSierraâs designs are always expensive, and this one is no exception. Itâs been here unsold for years. But if you really want it, Miss Johns, Mr. Cooper would undoubtedly purchase it for you. For someone of his standing, a dress isnât a significant expense.â
Tatianaâs envious gaze suggested that Madisyn was simply using a wealthy man to get what she wanted.
Courtney glanced at Madisyn with a trace of disdain. With her upbringing in the art world, she knew well that material pursuits shouldnât dominate oneâs life.
