Chapter 241
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 241:
Madisyn experienced a pleasant warmth in her heart. âNo need,â she remarked. As she sat quietly, thoughts of Howard came to mind. She figured since she was in Klein Group, she might as well pay him a visit.
She shared her idea with Andrew, who promptly had his secretary escort her to the technology department. An entire floor was dedicated to the technology department, featuring a cutting-edge design that radiated an air of advanced technology. Entering it felt like walking into a future filled with innovations.
âMr. Johns seems to be preoccupied,â the secretary said after attempting to knock on the office door and getting no answer.
Madisyn nodded in understanding. âAlright, if theyâre busy, Iâll head back now. I wouldnât want to interrupt their work.â
âWait,â someone called out from behind.
Howard approached quickly, catching his breath. âMadisyn, what brings you here?â
âI was visiting Andrew and thought Iâd stop by to see you too. Are you tied up with work? If so, please continue.â
âItâs alright. I can get back to work later,â Howard replied with a smile. âItâs rare for you to visit. Let me take you on a tour of our company.â
âOkay.â
Madisyn could see that Howardâs leg had recovered nicely, appearing completely normal. His return to his usual gentle and cheerful self was clearly evident, which was reassuring for Madisyn. After showing her around that floor, Howard led Madisyn out to the companyâs garden.
The wealth of the Klein Group was on full display in this exclusive garden located in the urban core, where space was a luxury. This garden, however, was unique.
âIâve upgraded the irrigation system here. Itâs fully automated now, managing watering and pest control by itself. We just get to enjoy the flowers without worrying about bugs,â Howard explained cheerfully.
Madisyn watched as robots navigated the garden, making her feel as though she had entered a scene from the future.
âHoward, youâre truly remarkable,â Madisyn complimented, offering him a thumbs up.
âThese are just minor innovations,â Howard responded modestly, dismissing the praise with a smile. âTheyâre hardly noteworthy.â
Hardly noteworthy? Madisyn was impressed by his brilliance. While robots were common, finding ones as charming and smart as these was unusual. Her admiration for Howard deepened. The more she learned about him, the more she appreciated his exceptional talents and humility, a stark contrast to Courtney, who seemed eager to flaunt even minor achievements.
âBy the way, I heard you visited Uncle Rowan. How did that go?â Howard inquired, showing his concern.
âUmâ¦â Madisyn paused, struggling to find the words. Howard quickly grasped the situation. âIt sounds like Uncle Rowanâs family is still challenging to deal with.â
âThatâs right,â Madisyn replied.
âThen forget about them,â Howard advised softly. âThereâs no point in trying to get along with people who are incompatible with you.â
Madisyn agreed with a nod. After the tour, Madisyn headed back upstairs while Howard resumed his work.
Returning to the CEOâs office, Madisyn encountered someone else inside.
âAndrew, I know this must be stressing you out. Our research is a step ahead of yours and will be hitting the market soon,â the man in a black suit stated, his back turned to Madisyn. He exuded respectability, yet his tone carried an arrogance that was somewhat grating. Madisyn raised an eyebrow, her gaze sharpening. Corbett clearly relished his role as the tough talker.
Tatiana was practically glued to Corbett, always by his side wherever he went. She was the first to spot Madisyn entering the office. Raising an eyebrow, she inquired, âMadisyn, why are you here?â
âDo I need your permission to be here?â Madisyn retorted coldly.
As soon as Andrew caught sight of Madisyn, his usual cold demeanor melted. He gestured for her to come over, and she moved to his side. It was only as she drew closer that Madisyn realized the office was not just occupied by them. A group of apparent company executives were seated on the sofa. Among them was a man dressed in a traditional suit, his composed gaze settling on Madisyn.
Andrew, unaffected by the scrutiny, slipped his arm around Madisynâs waist and asked softly, âHow was your tour around the company?â
âI saw Howard. It went well,â she answered.
âThatâs good,â Andrew responded.
As they showed affection openly, Tatianaâs eyes widened in surprise. She had presumed Madisyn and Jared were a couple, yet here was Madisyn with Andrew. Tatianaâs mind was spinning.
Corbett, on the other hand, appeared completely unfazed. Squinting slightly, he offered a sly smile. âAndrew, itâs heartening to see you and Madisyn love each other so much. Itâs admirable how you chose a girlfriend without regard to anything but love. Such pure affection is quite rare these days.â
Corbettâs insinuation was clearâhe deemed Madisyn unhelpful and insignificant. The man in the traditional suit looked at Andrew, contemplating.
âIs this your girlfriend, Andrew?â he asked.
âYes,â Andrew replied. âI havenât had the chance to introduce her to Grandpa yet. Iâll take Madisyn to meet him soon.â
The man in the traditional suit responded, âAndrew, your grandfather has high expectations of you. Make sure you live up to them.â
From their exchange, Madisyn could discern the significant stature of these individuals.
