Chapter 250
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 250:
Saraiâs words struck Rowan deeply. Just then, they arrived home. Rowan opened the door, stepped out, and walked away without a word. Courtney looked up, tears streaming down her face. Sarai embraced her, whispering, âBaby, donât cry. Hutton doesnât matter. Let him go. Did you see Andrew today? If you marry him, Hutton will become even more irrelevant.â
âBut Madisyn is close to Andrew,â Courtney felt utterly hopeless. She had never imagined being overshadowed by someone she had once looked down on. The pain was intense.
âSo what? Andrew might have come to the banquet because of your uncle, not because of Madisyn,â Sarai said softly. âYouâre not like those country girls like Madisyn. Youâve had a top-notch education since you were a child. How could Andrew not be attracted to you?â Saraiâs encouragement restored Courtneyâs confidence. Just then, Courtneyâs phone rang.
âCourtney, congratulations!â Tatiana said excitedly. âIs the banquet over? Congratulations on becoming Huttonâs student. To be so accomplished at your age, you genuinely make me jealous!â
Courtney clenched her teeth and said, âIâm not Huttonâs student.â
Tatiana was taken aback and replied, âIf not you, then who?â
âItâs Madisyn.â Courtneyâs voice was heavy with frustration as she mentioned Madisyn.
Tatiana gasped in disbelief and responded, âHow is that possible? Her?â Could Madisyn even draw? Yet, Courtneyâs silence confirmed the shocking truth for Tatiana.
Tatiana was stunned and quickly found a reason, saying, âMadisyn is so shameless. She must have used the Johns familyâs influence to get the opportunity. By preferring someone like Madisyn over a true talent, Hutton showed poor judgment. It really tarnishes his public image!â Although it wasnât true, Courtney stayed silent and secretly enjoyed Tatianaâs harsh words about Madisyn.
âBut it doesnât matter, Courtney. Even if Madisyn is Huttonâs student, you will be Andrewâs future wife,â Tatiana replied.
Courtney bit her lip. âCan I⦠really?â
âAbsolutely, you can. By the way, are you going to visit the Klein family the day after tomorrow?â
âThe day after tomorrow?â Courtney sounded puzzled. âDonât you know? Madisyn and her family are planning to visit the Klein family then.â
Courtney had a sudden realization. Darn it! They planned a visit to the Klein family without telling her! After ending the call, Courtney quickly told her mother about this.
Sarai pondered briefly, then said coldly, âHumph, I knew it. Theyâre too shameless, trying to snatch all the good opportunities for themselves. I wonât let them succeed!â
Hutton stayed at Glennâs house until late. Madisyn saw him to the gate.
âI didnât make things clear in the beginning, which led to misunderstandings,â Hutton said to Madisyn apologetically.
Madisyn replied, âItâs fine. Even if I had clarified things beforehand, they wouldnât have believed me.â
âWhen should I start teaching?â Hutton asked eagerly, his eyes gleaming.
Madisyn thought for a moment. Hutton quickly added, âDonât worry! If youâre busy, just one painting a month to show me would be enough!â Such flexibility. Huttonâs previous students were required to practice daily in the drawing room, and they all became influential figures.
âOkay, I will,â Madisyn responded. Hutton was very pleased. âThere is hope for our countryâs painting industry!â
Madisyn said, âMr. Marquez, I think youâre expecting too much from me.â
âI believe in you.â Hutton replied, his eyes filled with optimism. He then inquired, âYouâre dating Andrew?â
âYes. Do you know him?â
âEveryone in Ansport knows him,â Hutton said with a sigh. âHeâs the pride of Ansport, so many people would naturally want to marry him. Now that youâre my student, it will be easier for you to marry into the Klein family.â
Madisyn realized Huttonâs thoughtfulness. âThank you, Mr. Marquez.â
Hutton continued, âIn Ansport, there are four major influential families, with the Klein family leading. The other families are tough as well, especially the Riggs family. You must be cautious around them. The Riggs are known for their decisive and merciless nature. Particularly, there is a young lady in their family who is said to be quite difficult to deal with; there have been rumors about her and Andrew.â
