Chapter 312
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 312:
Sarai glared at Elaine with fiery hatred, her eyes sharp and cold. Elaine, normally gentle but now stirred by anger, replied with a biting smile, âHow do you even have time to be here? Shouldnât you be at the police station checking on Rowan?â
Saraiâs face darkened instantly. She felt an urge to lunge at Elaine and slap her, but she held back and instead walked inside the villa.
Elaine frowned. Sarai had the nerve to show up here to see Glenn after everything that had happened?
âStop right there!â Elaineâs voice cut through the air with irritation. âHow do you still have the nerve to show up at my home now? Youâre not welcome!â
âDo you think you are in charge of the family?â Sarai sneered, continuing inside.
Elaineâs anger flared. She followed Sarai, grabbed her arm, and shoved her forcefully. âGet out! With all the disgraceful things your family has done, you still have the audacity to show up here? Leave!â
âYouâre the one who should leave! If it hadnât been for your family, we wouldnât have ended up in this situation!â Sarai shot back, her own rage evident as she grabbed Elaineâs hair, and they began to fight.
The commotion drew attention, and Glenn rushed out, immediately pushing Sarai away and shielding Elaine in his arms.
Sarai nearly toppled over, her disheveled hair falling across her face and making her look utterly pitiful. She glanced at Elaine, who was being protected by Glenn, and suddenly burst into laughter. âElaine, feeling pretty smug, arenât you? You never cared about studying and only played around when you were a child, yet you ended up with the most outstanding man in Gemond! What does that make me, despite all my efforts?â
Elaine scowled at Sarai. âWhat are you trying to say?â
Glennâs voice was icy. âMy wife is the most exceptional person in the world, Sarai. Since youâre here, we might as well settle the score.â
From the doorway, Madisyn stepped forward, looking down at Sarai. âCourtney and Jenna plotted against me together, but I havenât even told the police about Courtneyâs involvement yet. Imagine what would happen to her if I did.â
Saraiâs face drained of color. âYouâre talking nonsense. Courtney didnât conspire with Jenna!â
âOh, really?â Madisynâs sneer was sharp. âFortunately, I have evidence.â
Saraiâs face turned ashen as she faced the family. âYouâve driven us to this point. Are you satisfied now? Is it only when weâre completely destroyed that youâll be happy?â she yelled, tears streaming down her face as she turned to Glenn. âGlenn, if your father knew how youâve treated your brother, he wouldnât stand for it!â
âIf my father knew, he would deal with him severely,â Glenn replied, his tone cold and unfeeling.
Saraiâs anger and defiance flared. âIf you hadnât cut off our dividend, Rowan wouldnât have done those things. Heâs your only brother. Why donât you care about him?â
Madisyn replied, âYou think others should just put up with him when heâs in the wrong? Let me ask youâdoes your entire family think you should be spoiled?â
Sarai glared at Madisyn, still unwilling to acknowledge her fault. âWe had already given up the Johns Group. What more did you want?â
âRowan could have tried to take over the Johns Group if he were capable,â Madisyn said.
Saraiâs fury intensified. She felt like she could explode at any moment.
Glenn said icily, âSarai, stop this madness. If you have time to argue, you should be reflecting on your actions!â
âGlenn, are you really going to abandon Rowan?â Sarai asked.
âThe law will take care of it,â Glenn replied coldly.
Sarai felt a wave of dizziness, her frustration nearly overwhelming her. Not only had they failed to seize the Johns Group, but now they were mired in even deeper trouble. How was that fair?
Saraiâs voice dripped with bitterness. âIf you donât help him, Iâll find someone to remarry me! Youâll be the one responsible for driving your brother to his doom!â
Was Sarai really threatening them now?
âReally?â Madisyn asked. âYou might want to reconsider. Courtney will have a criminal record. Who would want to have a stepdaughter like that?â
âHow dare you!â Saraiâs face flushed with rage. Confronted with this family, she was at a loss for words for a moment. Her hatred boiled over. âGlenn, youâll regret this!â she spat before storming off.
âSheâs completely lost it!â Dane muttered.
Glenn checked to make sure Elaine was okay, but Elaine quickly moved to hug Madisyn. âMy dear, are you alright?â
âIâm fine, Mom,â Madisyn said, her previously sharp demeanor softening as she looked down with obedience.
âSweetheart.â Elaine couldnât contain her tears any longer, overcome with the joy of reuniting with her daughter. The news of Madisynâs passing had left her feeling so devastated that she had contemplated ending her own life.
âWe are having dinner. Mom, have you had dinner yet?â Madisyn asked gently.
âNot yet.â
âThen letâs have dinner together,â Madisyn said, guiding Elaine into the house.
The family was reunited once more.
Meanwhile, Waylon, who was abroad, learned that Madisyn was safe and urgently called Dane. Dane answered with irritation, âWeâre having dinner. Please donât disturb us.â
âPut me on speaker!â Waylon insisted eagerly. âI want to join you all for dinner!â
