Chapter 326

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 326:

“Well, you can apply your makeup here. I’m off to work now.” The manager went out.

Tatiana was in high spirits while putting on her makeup. She had harbored a deep-seated resentment towards Maxine for usurping her brand endorsement. Now she had avenged herself. Even if Maxine managed to scrape together the money for the hefty compensation, it would nearly bankrupt her. This was the price for crossing her.

Her assistant kept saying things that would please her. “Maxine is merely a silly girl. How audacious of her to challenge you! She’ll certainly take this as a lesson.”

Tatiana examined her impeccably manicured nails and mused, “There will be countless traps laid out for her in this industry. In a way, I’ve done her a favor because she’ll be more careful next time.”

“Indeed, who could possibly surpass you?” the assistant remarked with a grin.

Just then, the manager burst back into the room. “Tatiana, a new model has been included last minute.”

Tatiana gave the manager a puzzled look. Fashion shows typically finalized their models well in advance. “What’s the reason for this change?”

“It’s Sierra!” The manager’s excitement was palpable. “One of Sierra’s designs will be featured in our show!”

Tatiana was taken aback. “Sierra?” She clutched the manager’s arm eagerly. “Really? And who will showcase her design?”

“The decision was already made. I’m not sure who the model is yet, but I have to make sure there’s a spot for her. You might have to relinquish your position as the finale.”

Tatiana felt a sting of displeasure, but she knew she had no choice. After all, it was Sierra, and her design deserved the closing spot. Besides, Sierra’s involvement elevated the prestige of the entire event.

“Okay, I understand,” she conceded with a nod, though her mind raced with curiosity about who Sierra had chosen to model her design. Could it be a top-tier supermodel?

“Tatiana, you are so considerate,” the manager commended with a warm smile. “If you need anything, just call me anytime. I’m leaving now.”

“Okay,” Tatiana replied, returning her focus to her makeup.

As the minutes ticked by, the buzz of the impending fashion show filled the air.

Madisyn returned to her seat next to Jared’s. “Boss, everything is set. The audacity of that man, colluding with Tatiana to set your artist up. Just wait, I’ll make sure they pay dearly for this.”

“Okay,” Madisyn responded indifferently. She knew retribution was imminent without any need for his direct involvement.

The host stepped onto the stage. “Welcome to our fashion show, a collaborative spectacle brought to you by several distinguished brands. As the main organizer of the event, Aria Fashion has prepared a delightful surprise for you all. I promise it will be worth the wait. Please, stay tuned!”

After the customary pleasantries, the show officially began. Models strutted across the stage, adorned in various stunning outfits, while the audience snapped photos and whispered amongst themselves.

Jared watched the parade of designs with a detached air; his familiarity with Sierra’s exceptional creations had rendered him somewhat jaded to less impressive works. As the show neared its conclusion, no outfit had truly stood out, a sentiment evidently shared by Madisyn, judging by her unperturbed demeanor. Tatiana was the second to last to appear.

The audience gasped in surprise. “Isn’t Tatiana the last one?”

“The dress Tatiana’s wearing is absolutely unique. It’s truly stunning.”

“I love it, but how much does it cost?”

Around the venue, many praised the elegance and uniqueness of the dress Tatiana wore, clearly captivated by the design.

After her walk, Tatiana retreated backstage with a satisfied smile, positioning herself where she could still see the stage. She was eager to discover who would have the honor of showcasing Sierra’s design. Who would be so lucky?

The host reappeared, reigniting the audience’s excitement. “As I hinted earlier, this fashion show has a special surprise in store for you. You’re probably wondering who the designer behind our final model’s outfit is. It’s someone well-known, someone you all are familiar with. Take a guess!”

“Rick!” someone shouted.

“Sherry!” another guessed.

“Is it Sierra?” a soft voice speculated.

But as the words hung in the air, another quickly countered, “Does Sierra’s clothing really need a fashion show for promotion?”

No one responded to that remark, for it held a grain of truth. Fashion shows were indeed platforms for publicity, yet Sierra’s designs were renowned enough to thrive without such exposure.

The host’s smile held a hint of mystery as he announced, “Then, let’s welcome our model to the stage!”

With that, he stepped down, making way for the next model to emerge.

From her vantage point backstage, Tatiana caught her first glimpse of the model stepping out from the opposite side. Her initial reaction was one of sheer astonishment at the garment—the creation of Sierra was breathtakingly beautiful. The gown radiated nobility and elegance, its perfect color and cut a feast for the eyes.

But then, Tatiana realized who was wearing the gown. Her eyes widened in disbelief. She must be hallucinating. However, it was unmistakably Maxine who strutted onto the stage, instantly capturing the rapt attention of the audience.
