Chapter 337
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 337:
Sarai couldnât hold back her anger any longer. âMr. Klein, Andrew has slept with my daughter, and now sheâs pregnant. But he shows no concern. How does he view my daughter? Does he think he can mistreat her just because my husband is in prison?â
Daman shot Andrew a stern look. âAndrew, explain yourself properly.â
Frustrated, Andrew turned to Courtney, his expression cold. âCourtney, you say the child is mine. Can you prove that?â
âAndrew, that night was my first time, and you were the only one Iâve been with,â Courtney said, her voice trembling, her face turning red.
âI donât remember ever being intimate with you,â Andrew retorted sharply.
Courtney was taken aback. How could he deny such a thing? âAndrew, are you really going to deny any involvement with me?â She looked deeply hurt, as if she might break down at any second.
Dora, who had been quietly observing, was secretly thrilled with the unfolding drama. She hadnât anticipated Andrew facing such a scandal. If Andrew ended up tied to Courtney, it could boost Corbettâs success in taking over the Klein Group.
Dora looked at Daman and said earnestly, âDaman, the child Courtney is carrying would be your first great-grandchild. Perhaps we should allow her to have the baby. Itâs a good thing that our family is welcoming a new member. Isnât a great-grandchild what youâve always wanted?â
Daman did desire a great-grandchild, but not under such questionable circumstances. His anger was palpable as he stared at Andrew. âYou absolutely did not sleep with Courtney,â Andrew asserted firmly.
Courtney burst into tears, feeling unjustly treated. Sarai, deeply hurt by her daughterâs ordeal, fixed Andrew with a stern look. âYou have to make things right. Sheâs my only daughter, and I wonât tolerate her being treated poorly.â
Sarai then addressed Daman, saying, âMr. Klein, I know you to be a man of fairness and justice. Please ensure Courtney isnât made to suffer unnecessarily. We will take our leave now, but we expect a proper response from you.â
With that, Sarai and Courtney exited.
Daman, seething, grabbed something from the table, poised to throw it at Andrew, but Andrew intervened. âGrandpa, please relax. The child isnât mine.â
âTheyâve come here to tell us this, and you still deny it?â Daman exploded with rage. âHow could you betray Madisyn and her family like this?â
âItâs not mine, I assure you,â Andrew said, raising his hand slowly. âCourtney must be confusing me with someone else.â
Dora gave a chilling smirk. âAndrew, are you denying this now but secretly planning to force Courtney to terminate the pregnancy? That would be incredibly harsh. For a woman, getting pregnant only to face a miscarriage is like enduring hell.â
âDora, are you so knowledgeable about this because youâve been through it yourself?â Andrew stared coldly at Dora.
Dora was taken aback. In the past, Bruno had many affairs that resulted in pregnancies. Dora had indeed orchestrated abortions, but there was no way she would admit that. She said, âIâm just trying to say that since Courtney believes itâs you, dismissing her feelings so harshly isnât right.â
âI assure you, the child isnât mine,â Andrew maintained his composure.
Seeing Andrewâs resolute demeanor softened Damanâs anger slightly. Daman had seen Andrew grow up and knew he wasnât the type to be reckless with women.
âThen you must look into this and provide a clear explanation,â Daman said.
âDonât worry. Iâll take care of it,â Andrew said sincerely. Feeling unwell and agitated, Daman decided to rest. Andrew stood and addressed Dora, saying, âDora, Iâd appreciate it if you stayed out of matters that donât involve you.â
Dora, humiliated by the scolding from someone younger, shot Andrew a resentful look as he departed. She believed Andrewâs confidence stemmed from his position as the CEO of the Klein Group. Once her son Corbett took over the CEO position, Andrew would lose his standing in the Klein family.
Doraâs eyes sparkled with spite. Yet, their schemes had to be precise and decisive to take Andrew down effectively. Dora initiated a phone call.
âMrs. Klein, how can I help you?â Sarai answered the phone, her voice carrying a tone of deference.
