Chapter 338

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 338:

Dora asked, “Are you certain the baby Courtney’s carrying is Andrew’s?”

“Absolutely. Courtney slept with Andrew!” Sarai replied without hesitation.

Dora exhaled, a sly glint in her eyes. “I have a better idea. Want to hear it?”

“Go ahead,” Sarai said, intrigued.

As Dora revealed her plan, both Sarai and Courtney were stunned. “Is that really necessary?” Sarai questioned.

“It is our backup plan. If Andrew insists on denying it, we’ll use this. Don’t worry—his grandfather has a strong sense of justice. He’ll make sure everything’s handled fairly,” Dora replied calmly.

Sarai sighed. “Okay, I understand.” She set down the phone, still feeling uneasy. The lengths these powerful families would go to were beyond anything she had ever imagined.

“Mom, I still want to keep the baby,” Courtney said softly.

“Didn’t you hear? This is just a backup plan. As long as Andrew acknowledges the child, you won’t have to consider anything drastic,” Sarai reassured her.

Courtney bit her lip, then suddenly thought of Madisyn. She quickly dialed her number, a sly smile forming on her face. “Madisyn, are you busy? I’m coming over,” Courtney said, her tone upbeat.

As soon as Andrew left Klein Manor, he called Madisyn. “I know who the pregnant woman is. It’s just as I expected.”

Madisyn’s voice held a note of curiosity. “You don’t have to tell me. I already know.”

“How did you find out?” Andrew asked, surprised.

“She called me,” Madisyn replied.

Courtney’s arrogant tone had made it clear who the pregnant woman was; there was no doubt in Madisyn’s mind.

“Well, her child isn’t mine,” Andrew stated firmly.

“Then why does she believe it is?” Madisyn questioned, her curiosity piqued.

“I entered the room, but I got out of there quickly,” Andrew clarified. “I’m the one who slept with her.”

Madisyn pieced it together—Andrew had set Courtney up on purpose. His methods were ruthless and direct.

“In my view, Courtney isn’t smart enough to have planned this on her own,” Andrew continued. “Corbett’s mother was also there when I arrived at Klein Manor, backing her up the whole time.”

A realization hit Madisyn. “So they’re working together?”

“Exactly. If they’re trying to drag me down, they’re going to pay for it.” Andrew’s voice was cold and cutting.

Madisyn couldn’t help but admire his strategy. He was letting them bask in their false victory, only to reveal the truth when they were at their highest, watching them plummet into despair.

After the call ended, Courtney arrived, eager to gloat. She wasted no time, slamming a piece of paper on the desk in front of Madisyn. Without looking up, Madisyn continued her work.

Courtney’s eyes narrowed as she waited for a reaction. “Aren’t you curious about who the father of my child is?” she asked, pride dripping from her words.

“What? Am I the father?” Madisyn retorted dryly.

Courtney was momentarily speechless. She had expected Madisyn to be rattled, but instead, she was met with calm indifference. Staring hard at Madisyn, she leaned in and said slowly, “It’s Andrew.”

Her eyes narrowed as she searched Madisyn’s face for any sign of distress.

But Madisyn’s expression remained infuriatingly calm, a wall of indifference.

Desperation creeping into her voice, Courtney repeated, “It’s Andrew’s child!”

“I heard you the first time,” Madisyn replied, her voice cool and detached.

Courtney’s smile faded into a frown. “Why aren’t you reacting? What’s the matter? Are you and Andrew not together anymore?”

Madisyn finally looked up, her gaze piercing. “And why should I take your word for it?”

Courtney smirked. “Madisyn, you’ve been deceived by Andrew. I can swear this child is his. We had sex right after your car accident. He doesn’t care for you as much as you think. Don’t be a fool.”

Madisyn’s eyes darkened. “You think I should believe you? The same person who tried to have me killed?”

Courtney faltered. “I’m just letting you know that I’m carrying Andrew’s child, his firstborn!”

Madisyn leaned back in her chair, her expression unbothered. “And you think that’s something to be proud of? Even if the child is Andrew’s, it’s still illegitimate. Has he even promised to marry you?”

Courtney wasn’t worried about that. “This is his first child. He won’t deny it. And if he tries, his grandfather will make sure he acknowledges it.”

With a smug look, Courtney added, “Madisyn, you should step aside while you still can. I’m going to marry Andrew. If you walk away now, it won’t have to get messy.”
