Chapter 350

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 350:

Sarai aimed to ruin Madisyn’s reputation with just a few well-chosen words. But Madisyn wasn’t one to back down easily. She sneered, her voice cutting through the tension, “Sarai, who are you trying to disgust now? If your cousin seduced your boyfriend and ended up pregnant, would you want them to be together?”

Sarai’s eyes were filled with fake tears as she responded, “But they already had a child! You should have just let them be together! Mr. Klein, please, show us a way forward.” As she spoke, Sarai dramatically dropped to her knees, kowtowing in a display of exaggerated despair.

Damari, visibly uncomfortable, quickly signaled for someone to help her up. “Sarai, calm down. If the child really was Andrew’s and he had a hand in its loss, I’ll make sure he receives justice.”

“Thank you, Mr. Klein,” Sarai sniffled, her tone dripping with false gratitude. “Without your support, I wouldn’t know what to do. Courtney is devastated, and she’s been suicidal. I’ve even thought about ending it all.” Behind those tears was a veiled threat. The message was clear: if the Klein family didn’t provide a satisfactory resolution, Sarai was prepared to take drastic measures.

Madisyn watched with growing disgust, recognizing the malicious intent behind every word and action.

Dora, who had been observing silently, sighed and then spoke up, turning to Damari. “Damari, I believe Courtney truly loves Andrew. Perhaps the best way to make amends is to arrange their marriage as compensation. After all, they can always have another child once they’re married, right? What do you think?”

Sarai’s eyes brightened at the suggestion, her earlier despair quickly replaced with eager anticipation. Damari pondered for a moment, then turned his gaze to Andrew. “What’s your take on this?”

Andrew’s response was unwavering. “Out of the question! The mistress of the Klein family cannot be someone so malicious!”

Sarai immediately burst into dramatic tears. “Courtney has been wronged, and it’s all for nothing! Courtney’s father is in jail, and now no one respects us. What’s the point of living anymore?”

“Sarai, please calm down,” Dora interjected, wrapping a comforting arm around her. “Damari is a fair man. He’ll make sure Courtney gets the justice she deserves.”

Damari slammed his hand down on the table, his voice sharp. “Andrew, you’ve been foolish and irresponsible. I didn’t raise you to be like this. If you can’t offer a reasonable explanation, you might as well step down as CEO.”

The room fell silent, the weight of Damari’s words sinking in. He was actually considering stripping Andrew of his CEO position?

The mere suggestion caused Dora’s heart to leap with joy. If Andrew fell from grace, it would be her family’s opportunity to seize power. After all, Damari was still the chairman, and as long as he held that title, the CEO could be replaced at any time.

Andrew looked from Damari to Sarai, his eyes narrowing. “You claim I’m responsible for Courtney’s miscarriage. How can you be so sure?”

Sarai clutched her chest, tears streaming down her face. “The person who pushed Courtney disappeared! After that, we couldn’t find him. If anyone had a motive to want that child gone, it would be you, Andrew. There’s no other explanation!”

“But I didn’t need to do that,” Andrew said, his voice as cold as ice. “Because the child wasn’t mine, and I never laid a hand on Courtney.”

A stunned silence gripped the room as Andrew continued, his tone unwavering. “Courtney had delusions. And I have the surveillance footage from that night to prove it.” Without missing a beat, Andrew retrieved his iPad and played the video.

The screen displayed Courtney leading a heavily intoxicated Andrew into a hotel room. Moments later, the footage showed Andrew leaving the room, still stumbling but clearly alone. The camera then captured another inebriated man entering the room where Courtney remained. Sarai’s complexion turned ashen, her eyes wide with panic.

“This can’t be real! The video must be fake!”

Andrew remained composed, barely glancing at Sarai. Instead, he turned the iPad toward Dora, his gaze penetrating. “Dora, what do you think? Does this footage look fake to you?”

Dora’s sharp gaze locked onto the screen. There were no signs of editing, no evidence of manipulation. She inwardly cursed Sarai for her recklessness.

Sarai and Courtney had made claims, yet they didn’t even know for sure if Andrew was the one who slept with Courtney. There was no doubt that Andrew had only been in the room for a minute. To suggest that he could have impregnated Courtney in such a short time was simply absurd!

Andrew’s gaze was piercing as he explained, “At that time, I believed Madisyn was dead. The pain was unbearable, and I drank far more than I should have. When Courtney led me away, I was too out of it to realize what was happening. I mistook her for Madisyn. But the moment I lay down, I knew something was wrong. I got up and left immediately. As for what happened after I left, I had no idea.”

Damari watched the surveillance footage with a calm, almost knowing expression. In fact, he was well aware of Andrew’s character and had been playing along with Andrew’s plan in the past few days.

Andrew turned his gaze on Sarai, his eyes cold and cutting, like the blade of a knife. “Sarai, your scheme ends here. It was your daughter who approached me and led me into that room. Yet, you claim that I made the first move? It’s laughable. With Madisyn in my life, do you really think I’d be interested in your daughter?”

Sarai’s face went pale, the color draining from her lips as the weight of Andrew’s words hit her.

Dora spoke up again. “Andrew, Courtney is a decent girl. If she didn’t refuse that man, it’s possible she mistook him for you.”

Andrew’s expression hardened, his voice laced with cold mockery. “So, she schemed to sleep with me by taking advantage of my drunken state, and now it’s somehow my fault?”
