Chapter 353

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 353:

Madisyn’s lips were irresistibly soft, and her waist felt delicate under Andrew’s touch. He was lost in the warmth of the moment, completely immersed in the tenderness between them. But then, a sharp pain at the corner of his mouth snapped him back to reality. Blinking, Andrew met Madisyn’s slightly reproachful gaze and realized he had let his emotions get the better of him.

They were still in the car, after all, with the driver in the front row. The driver had discreetly raised the partition, giving them some semblance of privacy. Madisyn’s cheeks flushed a soft pink, spreading warmth across her skin. Andrew took a deep breath, trying to steady himself, but the intensity of his feelings was still evident in his dark, smoldering eyes.

“I’m sorry,” he murmured, his voice low and husky. “You’re just too enchanting.”

Madisyn blinked, momentarily stunned by his words, her heart skipping a beat. Andrew’s eyes gleamed with mischief as he leaned closer. “Honey, do you have to go to the office today?” he asked.

“Why? What do you have in mind?”

“I just want you to stay with me,” Andrew confessed, a hint of boyish charm in his tone. In that moment, Madisyn couldn’t help but see him as a big, endearing puppy—adorably persistent and impossible to resist.

Madisyn chuckled, trying to keep a level head. “But you’ve got responsibilities, you know.”

Andrew’s grin widened. “I can skip work today. My assistant can handle things for a bit.”

Madisyn let out a sigh, rubbing her forehead as if in defeat. “If your team knew, they’d probably think I’ve bewitched you or something.”

Andrew laughed, his voice warm and gentle. “I’ve been working non-stop. I think I’ve earned a little time off.” Andrew had always been a workaholic, pushing himself 365 days a year without a break. But ever since Madisyn entered his life, his priorities had shifted. All he wanted now was to relax and enjoy time with her.

“But aren’t you working on a very important project right now?” Madisyn asked, concern lacing her words. “Isn’t Corbett still determined to secure the CEO position?”

Andrew responded with a casual shrug. “He’s always been focused on that. It doesn’t worry me.”

Madisyn couldn’t help but smile, charmed by his confidence. “Still, there are many people rallying behind Corbett, especially with the anticipation for the company’s new phone launch.”

Andrew nodded, acknowledging the reality. “Corbett’s good with tech, no doubt. But your brother, Howard, is even more remarkable.” He reached out, gently tucking a stray lock of her hair behind her ear, his touch tender. “Trust me.”

Madisyn’s smile deepened. “I do trust you.”

After a moment of thought, she suggested, “How about I meet you later? I need to take care of a few things at the company first.”

“Alright,” Andrew agreed, but then he added with a playful grin, “Actually, I’ll come with you.”

Madisyn blinked, surprised by his unexpected clinginess. But she found she didn’t mind at all. “Sure,” she said, warmth spreading through her.

Her morning was planned around watching the artists’ performance evaluations. The company held these professional evaluations every month, and today was one of those important days. As Madisyn approached the evaluation room, she paused, noticing Andrew following closely behind.

She handed him a mask with a knowing smile. “For today, you’re my assistant.”

Madisyn knew that if people recognized the head of the Klein Group, it would cause a commotion that could derail the entire evaluation. But even with the mask, Andrew’s natural charisma was hard to conceal. Madisyn sighed, realizing he could still draw attention.

Thinking quickly, she grabbed a hat and placed it on his head. “There, that’s better—nothing to see here.”

They entered the evaluation room, where the director of artists was finalizing the preparations. The moment she saw Madisyn, the director approached with a respectful nod.

“Are we ready?” Madisyn asked.

“Miss Johns, everything is set.”

But the director’s gaze quickly shifted to Andrew, standing beside Madisyn. “And who might this be?” the director asked, curiosity piqued.

Madisyn glanced at Andrew briefly, her expression unreadable. “He’s my assistant for today.”

The director nodded, though she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to this assistant than met the eye.

With everything ready, the evaluations began. Madisyn watched the performances with a sharp eye, providing feedback that was both insightful and constructive.

One artist, after receiving her guidance, looked visibly enlightened. “Thank you, Miss Johns. I had no idea how much I needed this. You’ve clarified things I’ve struggled with for years.”

Madisyn offered a warm smile. “Keep at it, and you’ll achieve great things.”

Next up was a charming young man who couldn’t have been more than twenty. With his delicate features and youthful energy, he had quickly gained a significant following, especially among older women. His popularity had skyrocketed since his debut.

“Miss Johns!” The young man’s face lit up as soon as he saw Madisyn. It was rare for her to see someone so genuinely excited to see her. She gave him a nod and said, “Kevin Collins, let’s get started.”

Kevin performed a brief acting scene. When he finished, Madisyn offered her feedback, and Kevin nodded enthusiastically. “Miss Johns, you’re incredible. You spotted my flaws right away. I knew I had shortcomings, but I didn’t know how to fix them.”

“You have to focus on targeted practice,” Madisyn replied. “I have some courses related to this, and I’ll have someone send them to you shortly.”

Kevin’s eyes brightened even more. “Miss Johns, could you send them to me directly?” He pulled out his phone, his expression hopeful. “I really admire you—you’re the most capable woman I’ve ever met.”

Madisyn hesitated for a moment. Kevin’s eager, almost puppy-like expression made it hard to refuse.

“I don’t want you sending me random messages,” he added, his tone pleading.

His charm was disarming, and Madisyn found herself agreeing despite herself. She said, clearing her throat, “Alright, let’s exchange numbers.”

Kevin’s face lit up with happiness as they exchanged numbers. As soon as they finished, he suddenly felt a cold, piercing stare. Glancing over, he noticed Madisyn’s assistant sitting nearby, exuding an intimidating aura. What was up with that guy?

Still, Kevin left the room in high spirits.

The evaluations wrapped up around noon, and Madisyn turned to Andrew with a smile. “Thank you for your company, Andrew.”

Andrew’s gaze was tender as he replied, “You’re welcome. What do you want for lunch?”
