Chapter 353
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 353:
Madisynâs lips were irresistibly soft, and her waist felt delicate under Andrewâs touch. He was lost in the warmth of the moment, completely immersed in the tenderness between them. But then, a sharp pain at the corner of his mouth snapped him back to reality. Blinking, Andrew met Madisynâs slightly reproachful gaze and realized he had let his emotions get the better of him.
They were still in the car, after all, with the driver in the front row. The driver had discreetly raised the partition, giving them some semblance of privacy. Madisynâs cheeks flushed a soft pink, spreading warmth across her skin. Andrew took a deep breath, trying to steady himself, but the intensity of his feelings was still evident in his dark, smoldering eyes.
âIâm sorry,â he murmured, his voice low and husky. âYouâre just too enchanting.â
Madisyn blinked, momentarily stunned by his words, her heart skipping a beat. Andrewâs eyes gleamed with mischief as he leaned closer. âHoney, do you have to go to the office today?â he asked.
âWhy? What do you have in mind?â
âI just want you to stay with me,â Andrew confessed, a hint of boyish charm in his tone. In that moment, Madisyn couldnât help but see him as a big, endearing puppyâadorably persistent and impossible to resist.
Madisyn chuckled, trying to keep a level head. âBut youâve got responsibilities, you know.â
Andrewâs grin widened. âI can skip work today. My assistant can handle things for a bit.â
Madisyn let out a sigh, rubbing her forehead as if in defeat. âIf your team knew, theyâd probably think Iâve bewitched you or something.â
Andrew laughed, his voice warm and gentle. âIâve been working non-stop. I think Iâve earned a little time off.â Andrew had always been a workaholic, pushing himself 365 days a year without a break. But ever since Madisyn entered his life, his priorities had shifted. All he wanted now was to relax and enjoy time with her.
âBut arenât you working on a very important project right now?â Madisyn asked, concern lacing her words. âIsnât Corbett still determined to secure the CEO position?â
Andrew responded with a casual shrug. âHeâs always been focused on that. It doesnât worry me.â
Madisyn couldnât help but smile, charmed by his confidence. âStill, there are many people rallying behind Corbett, especially with the anticipation for the companyâs new phone launch.â
Andrew nodded, acknowledging the reality. âCorbettâs good with tech, no doubt. But your brother, Howard, is even more remarkable.â He reached out, gently tucking a stray lock of her hair behind her ear, his touch tender. âTrust me.â
Madisynâs smile deepened. âI do trust you.â
After a moment of thought, she suggested, âHow about I meet you later? I need to take care of a few things at the company first.â
âAlright,â Andrew agreed, but then he added with a playful grin, âActually, Iâll come with you.â
Madisyn blinked, surprised by his unexpected clinginess. But she found she didnât mind at all. âSure,â she said, warmth spreading through her.
Her morning was planned around watching the artistsâ performance evaluations. The company held these professional evaluations every month, and today was one of those important days. As Madisyn approached the evaluation room, she paused, noticing Andrew following closely behind.
She handed him a mask with a knowing smile. âFor today, youâre my assistant.â
Madisyn knew that if people recognized the head of the Klein Group, it would cause a commotion that could derail the entire evaluation. But even with the mask, Andrewâs natural charisma was hard to conceal. Madisyn sighed, realizing he could still draw attention.
Thinking quickly, she grabbed a hat and placed it on his head. âThere, thatâs betterânothing to see here.â
They entered the evaluation room, where the director of artists was finalizing the preparations. The moment she saw Madisyn, the director approached with a respectful nod.
âAre we ready?â Madisyn asked.
âMiss Johns, everything is set.â
But the directorâs gaze quickly shifted to Andrew, standing beside Madisyn. âAnd who might this be?â the director asked, curiosity piqued.
Madisyn glanced at Andrew briefly, her expression unreadable. âHeâs my assistant for today.â
The director nodded, though she couldnât shake the feeling that there was more to this assistant than met the eye.
With everything ready, the evaluations began. Madisyn watched the performances with a sharp eye, providing feedback that was both insightful and constructive.
One artist, after receiving her guidance, looked visibly enlightened. âThank you, Miss Johns. I had no idea how much I needed this. Youâve clarified things Iâve struggled with for years.â
Madisyn offered a warm smile. âKeep at it, and youâll achieve great things.â
Next up was a charming young man who couldnât have been more than twenty. With his delicate features and youthful energy, he had quickly gained a significant following, especially among older women. His popularity had skyrocketed since his debut.
âMiss Johns!â The young manâs face lit up as soon as he saw Madisyn. It was rare for her to see someone so genuinely excited to see her. She gave him a nod and said, âKevin Collins, letâs get started.â
Kevin performed a brief acting scene. When he finished, Madisyn offered her feedback, and Kevin nodded enthusiastically. âMiss Johns, youâre incredible. You spotted my flaws right away. I knew I had shortcomings, but I didnât know how to fix them.â
âYou have to focus on targeted practice,â Madisyn replied. âI have some courses related to this, and Iâll have someone send them to you shortly.â
Kevinâs eyes brightened even more. âMiss Johns, could you send them to me directly?â He pulled out his phone, his expression hopeful. âI really admire youâyouâre the most capable woman Iâve ever met.â
Madisyn hesitated for a moment. Kevinâs eager, almost puppy-like expression made it hard to refuse.
âI donât want you sending me random messages,â he added, his tone pleading.
His charm was disarming, and Madisyn found herself agreeing despite herself. She said, clearing her throat, âAlright, letâs exchange numbers.â
Kevinâs face lit up with happiness as they exchanged numbers. As soon as they finished, he suddenly felt a cold, piercing stare. Glancing over, he noticed Madisynâs assistant sitting nearby, exuding an intimidating aura. What was up with that guy?
Still, Kevin left the room in high spirits.
The evaluations wrapped up around noon, and Madisyn turned to Andrew with a smile. âThank you for your company, Andrew.â
Andrewâs gaze was tender as he replied, âYouâre welcome. What do you want for lunch?â
