Chapter 354

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 354:

“How about we eat at the canteen?” Madisyn suggested with a smile.

“Sure! I haven’t been there yet,” Andrew replied. The two walked together toward the canteen, where they began to peruse the options laid out before them. Madisyn assumed that a place like this would be unfamiliar to Andrew, but to her surprise, he navigated it with ease, as though he had been there countless times before.

“Do you eat at a canteen often?” Madisyn asked.

“I used to eat at my company’s canteen. As CEO, it’s important to be familiar with all aspects of the company, including the canteen,” Andrew explained calmly.

Madisyn couldn’t help but be impressed. Most CEOs might overlook something as ordinary as the company canteen, but Andrew took it seriously. To him, every detail mattered, no matter how small. It was clear that his dedication to even the smallest aspects of the company contributed to his success in leading the group forward.

After they found a place to sit, they were unexpectedly approached. “Miss Johns…” Kevin greeted Madisyn with a sparkle in his eyes. “I didn’t expect to see you here for lunch. It’s quite a surprise.”

“You eat here often?” Madisyn asked, surprised to see a celebrity in the company canteen. It wasn’t exactly a common sight.

“No, but I made an exception today,” Kevin responded, glancing at her plate. “I see you like spareribs. I’m actually planning to cook some tonight. If you’d like, I could bring you some tomorrow.”

Madisyn was genuinely surprised that such a young and handsome star could cook. “You cook? How long have you been doing it?”

“Since I was a kid, so about ten years,” Kevin replied with a modest shrug.

“That’s impressive!” Madisyn’s eyes sparkled with admiration. “It’s rare to find young men who are passionate about cooking these days.”

Kevin blushed slightly and scratched his head, looking a bit sheepish. “Miss Johns, you’re too kind.”

“I’m speaking the truth,” Madisyn said with a smile that made her look even more radiant. Kevin, who had seen many beautiful women, was momentarily mesmerized by her charm.

With a shy smile, he offered, “Miss Johns, if there’s anything specific you’d like to eat, just let me know. I’d be happy to cook it for you.”

“Okay,” Madisyn agreed, her smile brightening even more.

Meanwhile, Andrew’s face had darkened noticeably. He remained silent, focusing intently on his meal, clearly displeased with the exchange.

As his lunch drew to a close, Kevin reluctantly stood up to leave. “Miss Johns, I’ll see you tomorrow,” he said with a wistful smile.

“Sure,” Madisyn replied with a subdued smile.

As they walked out of the canteen, Andrew casually asked, “Where would you like to go this afternoon?”

Before Madisyn could respond, Andrew’s phone rang.

He answered, and a cheerful voice on the other end said, “Hey, Andrew! Would you like to go to the club for some fun this afternoon? It’s been a while!”

“I’m busy this afternoon.”

Madisyn blinked at Andrew. Looking at her, Andrew suddenly asked softly, “Do you want to meet my friends?”

“Of course,” Madisyn responded.

Andrew had met Susan, her best friend, but she hadn’t met any of his friends yet.

Andrew nodded, then said to the phone, “Alright, see you this afternoon!”

There was a pause on the other end, then the person asked, “You agreed? Who were you talking to just now?”

“My future wife,” Andrew said.

The silence that followed made Madisyn realize that Andrew’s friends might not be thrilled about her joining them. She started to contemplate the situation, her mind racing.

The call ended soon after, and Andrew turned to Madisyn, gently taking her hand. “These gatherings can get a bit loud. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, we can leave.”

“Okay,” Madisyn said, tilting her head to look at Andrew. “By the way, you weren’t jealous, were you?”

Andrew, understanding she was talking about Kevin, responded with a knowing smile, “I knew what you wanted to do.”

Madisyn raised an eyebrow in surprise. “You knew I was thinking Kevin might be good enough for a cooking TV show?”

“Yes,” Andrew replied, his gaze steady. “I could see it in your eyes.”

While Kevin might have assumed his charm was the reason Madisyn was interested in him, Andrew knew exactly what she was contemplating.

Madisyn’s smile widened. She felt a sense of warmth, happy to have a boyfriend who understood her so well.

Later, at the club, the atmosphere was lively with the sounds of music and laughter. This club was a popular spot for the affluent families of Ansport, boasting a variety of entertainment options. Access required a special membership card.

As Andrew and Madisyn arrived, the private room was filled with people singing and socializing. Upon seeing them, everyone turned to them, and the respectful greetings to Andrew were tinged with curiosity as their eyes lingered on Madisyn.

Andrew’s stern glance prompted everyone to compose themselves. They greeted Madisyn with polite “hello,” though a hint of reluctance colored their tone.

“Hello,” Madisyn responded with a warm smile that seemed to brighten the entire room. Her beauty and vibrant demeanor had an immediate impact on the crowd.

Norton, stepping forward, introduced himself with a casual air. “It’s your first time at our party, so you might not know us. I’m Norton Santos.”

“I’ve heard of you,” Madisyn said, her smile unwavering despite Norton’s offhand attitude.

Norton raised an eyebrow, a hint of challenge in his voice. “Oh, really? I hope it was something pleasant you heard.”
