Chapter 357

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 357:

Norton sighed inwardly. If Jada weren’t in the picture, Madisyn would have been a great choice to be Mrs. Klein. But Jada was simply too exceptional.

Wesley finished dancing soon after, and everyone realized that Madisyn was far from as fragile as she seemed. No one dared to cause any trouble, so they all chatted normally.

Madisyn observed that Andrew was clearly the leader among them. Even though he wasn’t the oldest, everyone treated him with great respect. This was the influence of being part of the top clan.

By evening, Madisyn and Andrew were ready to leave.

“Andrew, why are you leaving so early? We should have dinner together,” Wesley said, noting how rare it was for them all to be together.

Andrew raised an eyebrow and replied in his deep, magnetic voice, “I’m heading out to have dinner with my girlfriend.”

Wesley was at a loss for words. Andrew had really changed! He wasn’t like this before. Wesley regarded Madisyn with a serious expression.

After Madisyn and Andrew left, the fun continued. Wesley glanced down as his phone buzzed. It was a call from Jada.

He stepped outside to take the call.

“Wesley, it’s been ages since I went back to check on you. Have you been studying hard? I hope you haven’t been slacking off like before,” the woman’s voice was soothing and melodic, with a hint of firmness.

Wesley, who usually projected arrogance, instantly became subdued when he heard her voice. “Jada, don’t worry, I’ve been studying hard at home.”

“That’s good to hear. But if I come back and find out you haven’t been studying, I’ll be quite upset.”

Wesley flashed a smile and said, “I promise I won’t do anything to upset you. So, when are you coming back? I really miss you!”

“I’ll be back soon,” Jada said with a gentle smile. “I miss you too. It’s been a whole year since we last met. Let’s definitely have dinner together when I return.”

Wesley was about to agree, but then he thought about Andrew, and his mood shifted. “Jada, Andrew might not be able to make it.”

“Why?” Jada asked, sounding surprised.

“He’s actually seeing someone.”

He didn’t want to hurt Jada, but he knew he couldn’t keep it from her. She had admired Andrew for a long time, but now he was with someone else. Wesley genuinely felt sorry for Jada.

To his surprise, Jada didn’t seem upset at all. “Oh, you silly boy. Andrew’s nearly thirty now. It’s only natural for him to have a girlfriend. What kind of girl is she?”

“Well…” Wesley hesitated, “I honestly don’t think she’s as remarkable as you, Jada. You’re so much better. I can’t understand what Andrew sees in her. Maybe it’s because he’s never been in a serious relationship before. Eventually, he’ll realize just how wonderful you are.”

“Oh, don’t say that,” she replied with a touch of seriousness. “Every girl has her own qualities. If Andrew likes her, she must have something special about her.”

Wesley was taken aback again and didn’t know what to say. Jada was too kind. He didn’t want to contradict her, so they ended the conversation on a casual note and hung up the phone.

He held onto the phone, still convinced that Jada was the best woman around. He was sure that Andrew would eventually see her worth.

Meanwhile, Madisyn and Andrew were enjoying a romantic candlelight dinner.

Madisyn’s phone buzzed with an incoming message. It was from Kevin and included a picture.

Andrew glanced at her curiously and asked, “Is something wrong?”

“Oh, it’s nothing,” she replied. “Kevin just texted to say it was raining and that he got wet coming back.” She showed the message to Andrew, concerned he might feel jealous.

The photo Kevin had sent showed him drenched, with his clothes clinging to his body, accentuating his toned muscles. Andrew’s grip on his fork tightened instantly. From the first time Andrew had met Kevin, he sensed that this guy was not as straightforward as he seemed.

“I’ll tell him to shower right away so he doesn’t catch a cold,” Madisyn said.

Andrew didn’t say anything, and they continued their dinner.

After dinner, they went for a walk. The air felt crisp and fresh following the rain.

Madisyn’s phone vibrated again. Checking it, she saw it was still Kevin’s message.

Kevin’s message read: “Madisyn, I just showered. Now I’m about to have some milk.”

The message included a selfie of him, shirtless and drinking milk.

Madisyn responded, “Be careful not to catch a cold. Drink plenty of water.”

Andrew happened to glimpse the message, and his expression darkened. He had encountered many scheming women playing innocent before, but this was the first time he saw a man scheming in such a way. He let out a deep breath.

Madisyn set her phone aside and continued her conversation with Andrew.

Noticing that Madisyn appeared unaffected by Kevin’s antics, Andrew felt a sense of relief. Despite all of Kevin’s attempts, Madisyn was simply too innocent to be bothered by them.
