Chapter 370
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 370:
Wesley glanced back at Madisyn and said, âWeâve all grown up together and shared the same bed. You donât mind such small things, do you?â
âI donât mind,â Madisyn replied with indifference. Wesley scoffed inwardly; clearly, she wasnât bold enough to object.
âThen you can head back. Iâm leaving as well,â he said, turning to walk away.
Jada rolled down the window and told Madisyn, âIf it bothers you, Iâll get out of the car. Itâs fine.â
âItâs not a problem. Stay seated,â Madisyn replied as Andrew opened the back door, allowing Madisyn to get in. To her surprise, Andrew also took a seat in the back.
Jada was puzzled. Who would drive?
Soon, the driver, who had been smoking nearby, returned and took his place in the driverâs seat. He looked surprised to see Jada. âMiss Riggs?â
âMr. Deleon, itâs been a while,â Jada said, momentarily surprised but quickly smiling in recognition. âMiss Riggs, youâre back! Did you just return today?â
âMr. Klein, where should we head first?â the driver asked Andrew, who replied, âTake Jada home first.â
The driver headed to the Riggs familyâs home first. During the drive, Jada spoke with the driver in a relaxed manner, without putting on airs at all.
Once they reached their destination, Jada got out of the car and approached Madisyn. âMadisyn, I really enjoyed our time today. Can I have your phone number? It would be great to go shopping together sometime.â
Madisyn quickly responded, âSorry, but Iâd rather not.â Jada didnât take offense.
âAlright, maybe we can talk about it another time. Iâm heading home now. Please be careful on your way,â she said before walking into the Riggs familyâs residence.
Madisyn and Andrew headed back as well. Andrew grasped Madisynâs hand firmly. âIf you were uncomfortable with them, there was no need to have dinner with them.â
He was familiar with his friendsâthey were all closely associated with Jada.
âIt was just a dinner. They wonât bite,â Madisyn said with a light smile.
Despite her reassurances, Andrew pulled out his phone and sent a text.
That evening, Wesley headed to the racetrack for his usual racing routine. Todayâs race was a competition against another team.
Wesley had been training for over a month for this race and felt confident about winning. He smirked as he eyed his opponents, feeling as if they were already defeated.
Everyone made their way to their respective cars, ready for the race to start.
Suddenly, Wesley felt a hand grasp his shoulder.
âCanât you see Iâmââ Wesley snapped. When he turned and saw the face of the newcomer, he froze, his helmet dropping to the ground from his hand as if he had seen a ghost. Why was his father here?
âDad, I thought you were always busy. What are you doing here?â Wesley asked, forcing a nervous smile.
The people around him were puzzled by Wesleyâs sudden shift in demeanor. Their usually rebellious leader was now showing unexpected respect to this unfamiliar man.
âWesley, whatâs going on? Weâre supposed to be getting in the car!â one of his team members shouted. âWho is this guy? Why is he interrupting our race?â
âFuck off!â Wesleyâs temples pulsed with stress. He turned to his father and pleaded, âDad, this is a competition. Please let me do this this time. I swear I wonât race again after this!â
âReally?â the man replied with a chilling smile.
Wesley felt a shiver run down his spine.
âYou said the same thing last time. So, Iâll make sure you keep your promise first!â The man gestured sharply, and several bodyguards stepped in and grabbed Wesley. The manâs expression hardened. âTake him back and lock him up for a month!â
A whole month?
Wesleyâs vision blurred, and he nearly fainted from shock.
How did his father even find him? This place was miles from the city.
A month? He would rather face anything but this!
It was unbearable!
Wesley felt like his world was collapsing.
Meanwhile, as Jada arrived home, she found her mother, Mara, already waiting for her. As soon as Mara saw Jada, she approached her with a look of satisfaction. âJada, youâre finally back,â she said warmly.
âMom, thank you for everything youâve done this year. Iâm finally back,â Jada replied with a smile. âWhereâs Dad?â
âHe hasnât returned yet.â Just as Mara finished speaking, the sound of a car engine echoed at the gate. She smiled and added, âIt sounds like your father is back. He usually comes home very late, but today he must have returned early because of you.â
Jada smiled and glanced toward the door. Esteban walked in, but to her surprise, Susan was with him.
Mara looked equally surprised.
Jada spoke up, âSusan, Iâm back! How have you been?â
Susan gave Jada a frosty glance and replied, âIâm fine when you are not around.â
Jada felt hurt by Susanâs words. âWhy are you being so harsh? I just wanted to make sure youâre okay. I missed you every day while I was away.â
Susan frowned and looked at Jada before turning back to her mother. âJada, have you eaten yet?â
