Chapter 389

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 389:

Corbett snorted coldly. “Their home products seem good, but the smartphone is where it’s at.”

Tatiana smiled and said, “Corbett, your sales are off the charts. Everyone knows only you have the chip, so they wouldn’t consider buying from Howard.” Corbett nodded, basking in his satisfaction.

After years of being overshadowed by Andrew, he sensed his time to shine had arrived.

The launch event reached its climax when Howard proudly revealed his new smartphone.

Corbett looked on with arrogance and dismissal. However, as the presentation progressed, his confidence began to waver.

Howard said, “Our smartphone has three main features. First, it can remotely control home appliances. Let me demonstrate… Second, it serves as a tablet. Here, let me show you. Third, it offers a battery life of a day and a half with no lag.”

He carefully showcased each function in action. These three features stunned the audience, overshadowing Corbett’s own presentation.

“Jesus! Is this technology for real?”

“Until now, only MaFelan had such technology. I’ve been using their phones and never thought our local tech could match theirs. Howard hasn’t just maintained his skills; he has enhanced them.”

“Howard is a tech prodigy, exactly as the director of the National Research Institute mentioned years ago. Now, I can see it clearly—he’s phenomenal.”

“These may seem like straightforward features, but each one is extremely challenging to develop.”

“Howard is really something special, I must admit.”

“But wasn’t there talk that Edward’s phone doesn’t use a chip from MaFelan? It might lag, right?”

Then, a voice from the crowd inquired, “What country is the chip in this phone from?”

“That is what a genius should be! If the nation recognizes his skills, what less could he be? I have faith in Howard and our local technology!”

“I’m not familiar with the technical details, but I’m ready to try it out. If our country’s chips improve, it boosts our global standing.”

“I trust Howard. He wouldn’t let us down with an inferior product.”

The live stream comments poured in fast.

“My hero is incredible! Remember, he’s from the National Research Institute and was the youngest research professor there!”

“I’m all in for Howard, no matter what!”

“I’m ready to purchase it. How much does it cost, I wonder?”

“With features this impressive, it’s got to be pricey. Maybe starting at a thousand? Designing a unique chip over the years isn’t easy!”

“That price is steep for me… My wallet is already weeping.”

“Howard seems to have some skills,” Luna couldn’t resist commenting.

This man was like a diamond in the rough, shining even when hidden. Luna harbored a sense of regret—if only Howard hadn’t been injured, he could have been a national sensation, and Tatiana, as his partner, would have garnered widespread admiration.

Corbett didn’t notice Luna’s thoughtful look. He was glued to the screen.

The National Research Institute… Corbett had the chance to join as well.

However, he chose a foreign institute, and domestic opportunities closed for him. He saw foreign research as superior and held little regard for domestic efforts.

Yet, he had underestimated Howard. Developing a chip was an achievement, but crafting one of the highest quality was a formidable task. Even Corbett might struggle with such a challenge.
