Chapter 400
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 400:
âYou can stay in any hotels owned by Klein Group,â Andrew said.
The hotels owned by Klein Group were all high-end, so when the couple heard this, their eyes lit up with excitement. Of course, they immediately agreed. Then, the man said, âWe can only wait for a week. I still have something to do, so weâll leave.â The couple hurriedly exited.
While watching their departing figures, Howard commented, âItâs so strange. What could be more important than this?â
Madisyn looked at him. âHoward, thereâs actually something even stranger. At their age, their children should still be young. They donât look rich. Generally, parents like them would try to find ways to help their children buy houses. Why would they buy such an expensive phone?â
Among the three people present, only Madisyn could think of this because she had experienced a painful life. She knew what it felt like to struggle to make ends meet. When she was with the Chapman family, she was surrounded by ordinary people. She wasnât acquainted with the wealthy lifestyle.
âYes, you are right. It is indeed very strange,â Andrew agreed. âDonât worry. Iâve sent some people to follow them. Letâs see what they are in a hurry for.â
Madisyn smiled. âI have a better idea. Maybe theyâre doing this for their child. Letâs check if their child is short of money, which led them to take the risk.â
âThat is a good idea. Madisyn, you are really smart,â Howard said, nodding in agreement.
Meanwhile, the couple started scolding each other as soon as they left the café.
The woman was trembling with anger. âIâve told you that your brother is not a good man. If we canât find our son back, I will kill him!â
The man retorted with dissatisfaction, âWhatâs the use of blaming me now? The most important thing now is to find our son!â
At this moment, the woman started crying. She said sadly, âThey must have hidden him and will ask us for money later. They are so vicious. Boo-hoo! My son! My Colin! My poor baby!â
She cried so hard that she almost fainted.
The manâs heart ached when he saw this. He was about to say something when his phone suddenly rang. As soon as he answered, a voice came from the other end of the line. âYou two need to go for an interview now.â
âIâm sorry. We have something important to do now. Our son is missing. We have to find him first.â
âDonât worry about your son. We will help you find him. Go and do the interview now. Donât you want money anymore?â The person on the other end of the line was obviously threatening the man.
The man could only grit his teeth and agree. âOkay.â
When the woman looked at him and saw his expression, she asked, âWhatâs going on?â
âHe wants us to go and do the interview.â
But the woman refused firmly. âNo, I wonât go. Iâll find my son first.â
The man hurriedly grabbed her hand. âHe said he would help us find our son. With their power, they can easily and quickly find him. But if we donât do that interview now, we will lose both money and our son.â
âFine! Letâs do that interview. But they must make sure to find our son.â
The couple then left for the interview.
In a car not far away, the little boy who came with Madisyn felt a little bored sitting inside. So, he knelt on the seat and looked out of the window. Suddenly, he saw two familiar figures. His eyes instantly lit up, and he opened the door and rushed out. He shouted excitedly, âDad! Mom!â
When the woman heard the boyâs voice, she hastily turned around. However, she only saw Howard, Madisyn, and Andrew getting into the car. There was no child with them, let alone their son.
Tears streamed down her face as she said, âI heard our sonâs voice! Oh, Iâm hallucinating now! He must have missed us. I told you not to do such things; we will be punished.â
âThatâs enough! Why do you keep blaming me? Didnât you also agree at that time? Who knew our son would be lost? Come on, stop crying now.â The man grabbed the womanâs wrist and pulled her away. They left in a hurry.
In fact, when Madisyn came out of the car, she saw the boy getting out of the car. He moved so fast that he almost fell down. Fortunately, she quickly walked forward and held him tightly, putting him back in his seat. âWhat are you doing? Why do you want to get out of the car?â
âI thought I saw my parents. They passed by the car,â the boy said anxiously.
When Madisyn heard this, she quickly let the boy out of the car to look around. However, he didnât see his parents. He couldnât help feeling sad, thinking he was only imagining things. âWhatâs wrong? How could my parents be here, after all?â
The boy sighed. He really missed his parents so much.
âIâm sure your parents are looking for you now. As long as they go to the police station, they can get in touch with us,â Madisyn said comfortingly, stroking the boyâs hair. She couldnât help but feel for him.
The little boy looked at Madisyn. âReally?â
His eyes lit up. âMadisyn, you are so kind! My mother is good at cooking. When I get home, can you come to our house for dinner? I want to thank you.â
âOkay,â Madisyn readily agreed, smiling while still stroking his hair.
When Andrew saw this scene, he felt a little jealous. Madisyn was so gentle to the boy, and this child had completely captured her attention.
Madisyn didnât notice this. She just returned to work. Unexpectedly, in the afternoon, everyone was calling for the downfall of Andrew and Howard.
As soon as Madisyn went out of the office building with the little boy, she saw a group of people holding placards that read, âThe phone manufacturer should compensate the victims!â
