Chapter 414
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 414:
ââWell, everything IS going smoothly.â
âWow, that is fantastic!â Everyone was thrilled. Jada clenched her fists and immediately called Madisyn to arrange a meeting.
Later that night, at a music-themed restaurant.
ââMadisyn?â
When Madisyn arrived, she immediately noticed Jada sitting quietly, her eyes puffy and red, clearly from crying.
ââWhatâs going on?â Madisyn asked with fake concern.
âI feel awful,â Jada said, covering her face with her hands before lowering them, holding back the tears that threatened to fall.
ââJada, whatâs the matter?â Madisyn asked, her worry seeming to grow.
ââSusan passed the Natural assessment and then humiliated me at work. I canât take it anymore⦠But I canât just walk away; itâs my parentsâ company.â

ââWhy do you say itâs your parentsâ company?â Madisyn asked in disbelief.
ââMaybe youâre not aware, but my parents fell in love with each other even before he married Susanâs mother. Back when they were together, my mother used to give my father a lot of advice, even though she didnât come from a wealthy and influential family. When they were about to get married, Susanâs mom tricked my dad into sleeping with her. He is a responsible man, so he had to marry herâ¦â Jadaâs eyes were red.
Anyone hearing this would feel deep sympathy for her. In contrast, theyâd think Susan was a villain.
âJada, donât stress. I let her pass the assessment on purpose,â Madisyn said calmly.
Jada stared at her, her jaw dropped in shock.
ââJada, think about it. Even if she didnât pass the assessment now, the most that would happen is sheâd get mocked. But later, she could easily bounce back by working with other companies. That wouldnât solve the main issue, right?â Madisyn explained with a smile.
Jada mulled over Madisynâs words, and a sudden thought struck her. âDid you let Susan pass the assessment deliberately, only to set her up later? Like, if you sell her perfume to a foreign company and then accuse her of plagiarism, sheâd be hit with a massive lawsuit. At that point, sheâd be in serious trouble!â Madisyn was taken aback, realizing that Jada was much sharper than Kristine and Courtney. Immediately after hearing what she said, Jada devised a way to set up Susan, leaving Madisyn to simply follow along without needing to come up with ideas herself.
Madisyn agreed. âExactly. Besides, Susanâs perfume will be inferior to yours, and people will look down on her even more. This will be your first real competition, after all!â
âYouâre amazing, Madisyn.â Jadaâs eyes sparkled with envy. It seemed Madisyn was ruthless. âThank you, Madisyn. But you should sell Susanâs perfume quickly and have the buyer produce and market it fast. If their perfume hits the market before your new products, everyone will assume Susan has plagiarized.â
âYes, thatâs a good idea. But I donât have any contacts in the industry,â Madisyn said, looking troubled.
ââDonât worry. I know someone who can help. Just give me the perfume,â Jada offered with a smile.
ââAlright, youâre brilliant!â Madisyn smiled back. They had a pleasant conversation. Jada covered the bill for the meal, and then they went their separate ways.
After getting into her car, Jada received a call from Dora. She narrowed her eyes, instantly understanding why Dora was calling her.
She picked up the phone, and as anticipated, Doraâs voice came through in tears. âJada, weâre counting on you. Since we canât seem to persuade Andrew, Corbett is stuck in the police station. Youâre important to Andrew, Jada. Please, we need your help!â
Jada sighed. âI do feel sorry for Corbett, and Iâve tried to persuade Andrew, but he wonât even talk to me about it. This situation is too serious, and even I canât influence him.â
In reality, she had never mentioned Corbett to Andrew. Both Andrew and Damari despised Corbett now. Bringing Corbett up would likely irritate them.
âWhat are we going to do? Is Corbett really going to prison?â Dora cried so intensely that she nearly fainted. Jada suggested, âYou should speak with Madisyn. She has a strong relationship with Andrew.â
ââThat woman wonât stand up for Dora,â Dora gritted her teeth in frustration and said bitterly. âJada, Iâm really at my witâs end here. Youâve saved Andrew in the past, right? Iâm sure if you ask him, heâll agree to let Corbett go. Could you talk to him and see if he will agree?â
An idea struck Jada. âI think I have a solution that might help you.â
âWhatâs it?â Dora asked eagerly.
ââRight now, Iâm not the one who Andrew cares about; itâs Madisyn. If you were to kidnap her and use her as leverage, heâd definitely agree to let Corbett go,â Jada suggested.
âAre you sure? That could work, but we donât even know where to find Madisyn.â
âIâll let you know where she is.â
Dora, seeing this plan might work, agreed. Jada then ended the call and glanced at her reflection in the window; a satisfied smile slowly spread across her face. âJada, youâre so ruthless,â she muttered to herself. But how else could she climb to the top of the wealthy elite without being that way?
To her, everyone was just a stepping stone on her path to success.
