Chapter 426

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 426:

True Affection for Milly

“Oh, why didn’t you mention that you knew Mr. Howard Johns?” the agent said with a smile. “If I’d known earlier, I could have lined up better opportunities for you.”

Howard Johns? What was going on?

The agent continued, “Here’s a script. I know you’ll like it. Take a look. If it’s to your liking, you can get the role without an audition.”

Jazmine glanced at the script. It was one she had been eager to work on, though her agent had previously deemed her unqualified. It dawned on her that Howard must have helped her due to her earlier support of Milly.

Jazmine pursed her lips, feeling a mix of emotions. Howard was evidently very fond of Milly.

“Are you alright?” Howard glanced at Milly in the car, a look of concern on his face. Milly met his gaze with a reassuring smile that was both sweet and endearing. “You showed up just in time. I’m okay,” she said softly.

Despite her calm demeanor, Howard remained concerned. He held her close and said, “Tatiana has crossed the line this time. I’m going to make sure she pays for it.”

Milly tried to stop him, but given the harsh realities, she had little sympathy. After holding Milly for a moment, Howard pulled out his phone to make a call.

Meanwhile, Tatiana rushed to the shower as soon as she got home. The thought of having urinated in front of everyone left Tatiana feeling so mortified she wished she could disappear. She saw herself as perfect, after all! After her shower, Tatiana gingerly turned on her phone, dreading the news about the incident. To her relief, it seemed that those involved had been considerate and hadn’t posted anything online.

Just as she was about to set her phone aside, a private message popped up on Twitter.

“I thought you were a goddess. You’re absolutely disgusting! Ugh!” it read.

Her heart sank as she clicked on the link attached to the message. A news account had tweeted, “Tatiana peed in public! Today, after filming the show, Tatiana fell down herself but hurried to accuse Milly of attacking her. But she didn’t expect Milly’s strength would shake her dress. Milly moved the cabinet with just one hand!” The tweet also included pictures of Tatiana with her dress stained yellow by her urine.

“It’s revolting. Tatiana is truly despicable, framing another female star.”

“Hasn’t Tatiana been reprimanded before? Did you all forget so quickly?”

“Look at your so-called goddess peeing in public. What a disgrace!”

“I watched the live broadcast today. Milly looked amazing and graceful. I’m a fan now. Do you still think Tatiana is deserving of Howard? Milly is not only more beautiful but also wouldn’t frame others. Plus, her martial arts skills are top-notch. She’s the one who deserves Howard.”

“I’m totally behind Milly and Howard. She is incredible! I really like her!”

“No! This is ridiculous!” Tatiana clutched her hair in frustration, on the verge of losing it. Who could have posted this?

Tatiana sent her assistant a screenshot of the post along with a message, which read, “Find out who posted this!” Her assistant agreed but felt powerless. With so many people around at the time, including some Tatiana couldn’t afford to offend, she wondered how she was supposed to uncover the culprit. The task seemed nearly impossible.

Tatiana paced the room, tears of rage streaming down her face. The thought of Howard’s reaction only worsened her distress. She needed to confront him. Just as she was about to change, her agent called.

“Tatiana, you don’t need to work for a while. Just take it easy at home,” the agent said coldly.

Tatiana panicked. “Why? I have a schedule to follow.”

“Haven’t you noticed you’ve offended someone powerful?” the agent said, a hint of annoyance in her voice. As Tatiana was her most prominent star, she felt the need to offer some advice. “Tatiana, you’re not the star you once were. Without Corbett’s backing, you can’t afford to step on anyone’s toes. Your arrogance is getting out of hand!”

“Who could I have offended?” Tatiana pondered and asked, “Is it Howard?”

“I’m not sure who exactly. But this is what the higher-ups have decided,” the agent said before hanging up.

Tatiana collapsed onto the floor, her eyes empty and distant. She had been cast out of the entertainment industry. With no opportunities to work, she would soon fade from everyone’s memory. Where would she find a new source of income after leaving the industry?

How could Howard do this to her?

In her anguish, Tatiana buried her face in her hands.

The next day, after reading the online news and seeing the public criticism of Tatiana, Madisyn felt that justice had finally caught up with her. But her amusement quickly faded.

While at work, her assistant delivered a package. Madisyn opened it to find a set of skincare products. Inside was a handwritten note from Tatiana that said, “Madisyn, I wish you happiness every day.”
