Chapter 430
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 430:
âI know, but he chose not to use them.â Madisyn smiled as she looked at Susan and Dane. âHow have you been lately?â
âGood,â Dane replied, giving Susan a warm smile. âWeâre planning to get engaged.â
âWhen?â Madisyn asked, surprised.
âNext month.â
Susan seemed a bit hesitant but added, âWe havenât set a specific date yet. Iâll let you know once we decide.â
âOkay, Mom will be thrilled to hear about it,â Madisyn said, genuinely happy for them.
They then shared a meal. These occasional gatherings made Madisyn feel relaxed and joyful. Later, they strolled through a nearby shopping mall, allowing Madisyn to check out the marketing scene. Dane ran into a business partner and needed to discuss work, so he handed Susan a credit card and said, âFeel free to buy whatever you like with this.â

Susan hesitated to take it, so Madisyn quickly placed it in her hand, saying, âYouâre about to be married. Thereâs no need to be shy!â Susan blushed.
âWhere should we go?â Madisyn asked.
âLetâs head to the Natural Beauty store,â Susan suggested. They both had the same idea.
The Natural Beauty store was quiet, with only a few customers. While browsing, they spotted someone they knew. It was Josieâdressed in a new Chanel outfit. Josie looked down at the skincare products with disdain. A saleswoman approached to help, but Josie said, âThese products are too cheap for my taste.â The saleswoman looked awkward. âThanks. Your opinion is noted.â
This made the other customers in the store start to hesitate.
âHave you ever considered how it reflects on you when you call other products cheap?â a cool voice said.
Josie scowled, and upon spotting Madisyn and Susan approaching, she sneered dismissively. âOh, itâs you. Since you developed these products, you wouldnât find them cheap. But from a customerâs perspective, I think they are. Why shouldnât I say so?â
Josieâs arrogance was palpable! Susan was visibly upset but responded calmly. âYouâre free to express your opinion. However, it only shows your willingness to hurt others without a second thought and your lack of empathy. That kind of behavior is whatâs truly cheap and harmful to society.â
âYouââ Josie clenched her teeth and said, âDonât act so high and mighty. Your products are worthless!â Thinking about her product sales, Josie crossed her arms and said, âYour sales are just one-tenth of ours, Madisyn. Havenât you noticed whatâs wrong?â
âEveryone is perfect. Itâs not a big deal. I just need to stay true to myself.â
âJust a few days ago, you were outselling us. But now, our new products are dominating yours. Havenât you figured out why? If you had chosen Jada instead of Susan, things might have been different.â Josie raised an eyebrow. âItâs no wonder nobody likes Susan. She really lacks capability.â
Susanâs expression turned stern. âJosie, whatâs wrong with you?â
âItâs not just my opinion; itâs the truth. Susan, donât you feel guilty for dragging Madisyn down? What can you do besides attract men?â Josie was bitter, recalling how Susan had won over the man she liked.
âItâs only the beginning. How can you judge the outcome already? Your view is too shallow,â Madisyn said firmly. âIf youâre not here to shop, please leave. Donât disturb our customers!â
At that moment, everyone understood that Josie was representing Migge Skincare. Migge Skincare was distasteful. Even though their products sold well, they shouldnât send someone to denigrate competitors.
âLeave now. You are not welcome!â
âThatâs right. Such rudeness from Migge Skincare!â
âYou should go back to Migge Skincare. Donât come to Natural Beauty just to upset us!â
The other customers all agreed that Josie was extremely bothersome.
Josie was unprepared for the ridicule. She clenched her teeth and shot Susan a fierce glare.
As she left, she encountered Dane, whom she hadnât seen in a long while. Her eyes immediately brightened.
She felt sad, thinking how long it had been since she last saw Dane.
Dane ignored her completely and walked straight into the store to join Susan and Madisyn in conversation. Watching the three, Josie felt utterly excluded. She clenched her fists and felt a surge of injustice. She wondered why she couldnât measure up to Susan. When the three came out, Josie approached Dane and blurted out, âDane, Susan doesnât deserve you at all!â
âJosie, Iâm not in the mood for nonsense. If you want to instigate trouble, you should leave!â Dane snapped.
Josie was stunned. It was the first time she had been shouted at like this. Seconds later, tears streamed down her face.
âDane⦠Iâm just looking out for you. Susan is a failure. You can see their new products arenât selling well, while ours are flying off the shelves,â she said, expressing her feelings. âSusan canât help you in any way.â
âI donât need her help. I just need her by my side.â Holding Susanâs hand, Dane said tenderly, âWeâre getting married soon. I care about your reputation, so stop bothering Susan.â
