Chapter 437

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 437:

Mara was still grasping Jada’s hand. With her greater experience, she was a bit more steady in such situations. “Don’t stress, Jada. You’re exceptional, and you’re the perfect candidate to take over the company. What matters most is showing everyone your abilities. You could start your own company.”

Jada’s spirits brightened. “Mom, so…”

“Your friends could invest in your new venture. If you have such support, people will likely buy from you out of respect for those backing you. This will also give you a chance to assess Madisyn’s stance,” Mara suggested.

Jada grinned. “Okay, Mom. Don’t worry. I’ll make sure to surpass Susan’s performance.”

As for their sales not exceeding Susan’s this time, Jada was convinced it was solely because Josie’s products fell short of expectations. Therefore, she felt it was unrelated to her own efforts. Her role was merely that of a perfumer, and she had no control over the quality of the products.

She dismissed the issue lightly, but online reactions were quite explosive. Ecstasy admitted to their plagiarism, leading to widespread apologies directed at Susan and Natural Beauty. With Natural Beauty products performing remarkably, refund requests were withdrawn, and sales soon rebounded strongly.

It could be said that Natural Beauty reaped significant profits this time.

At Edge Entertainment, Madisyn received a phone call from the general manager of Natural Beauty while in her office. “Miss Johns, amazing! The issue has been resolved.”

“Hmm, continue your excellent work,” Madisyn responded coolly before ending the call. She then called Susan, who was in high spirits. “Madisyn, I’m grateful. Without your help, I would have been doomed. Ecstasy’s reputation is so formidable that everyone would have believed I was the plagiarist.”

“Ecstasy has always been dubious, so this was a perfect chance to make them pay. They practically handed us this opportunity. We should capitalize on it. What’s Jada up to now?”

“She’s been dismissed from the company; my dad is unlikely to take her back,” Susan said, pleased. Initially, she feared Esteban might give Jada another chance, but he didn’t appear to be that kind of person. Now, she could concentrate on working even harder at the company.

“That’s favorable, but I believe I’ll be meeting Jada again shortly,” Madisyn smirked.

“Ugh!” Susan suddenly began to feel nauseous mid-sentence, alarming Madisyn. “What’s wrong? Are you feeling ill?”

“It’s probably just an upset stomach. It’s nothing serious.”

“Stomach problems can be serious. Don’t delay; see a doctor,” Madisyn advised with concern.

“I will,” Susan promised, taking the advice seriously. She had been experiencing nausea lately, so a medical check-up seemed prudent.

Madisyn’s forecast proved accurate. As the workday was nearing its end, Jada extended a dinner invitation to both her and Andrew.

Madisyn readily accepted.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, they found that Norton, Wesley, and some others were already there. Jada occupied the central seat, engaging in lively conversation with them, exuding warmth and charm, which made her quite endearing. Wesley acted like her personal aide, constantly offering snacks and refilling Jada’s coffee.

“Madisyn, you’ve arrived!” Jada greeted them with enthusiasm as soon as Madisyn and Andrew appeared, ushering them to their seats.

Madisyn played her part, acting friendly with Jada, and asked, “Jada, what’s the occasion? Why this sudden dinner invite?”

“It seems like it’s been ages since we all got together. I wanted to reunite everyone, though I do have a topic to discuss,” Jada said with a smile.

Wesley jumped in, saying, “Jada, just spill it! I’d do anything for you.”

“Oh, there’s no need for that! It’s not a big deal. Let’s just enjoy the meal first,” Jada laughed, urging everyone to relax.

Dinner for wealthy young people was always a feast of delectable dishes, and Madisyn felt quite content with the evening.

As the meal drew to a close, Jada announced, “I’m thinking of launching my own company.”

Madisyn, though unsurprised, pretended to be thrilled.

Wesley, on the other hand, was taken aback. “Jada, aren’t you working in your father’s company? Why the sudden move to start your own company?”

“With both my sister and me working in the family business, there have been constant complications. I’ve decided to start my own venture,” Jada explained, her voice tinged with helplessness.

Wesley’s frustration was evident. “Has she caused trouble again? Jada, just let me know, and I’ll handle it for you.” How could Susan have the audacity to cause trouble for Jada? Did she have a death wish or something?

“That’s not the case,” Jada quickly clarified. “Susan is a nice sister.”

However, her words fell on deaf ears. The group had a strong prejudice against Susan.

“Jada, could our plan have been exposed? Did they discover that you collaborated with Ecstasy to frame Susan?” Madisyn’s brow furrowed.

At Madisyn’s statement, everyone’s focus shifted to them. “You collaborated with Ecstasy to frame her?” Norton frowned.

“I read online that Ecstasy and Jada worked together to set up Susan. Is that true?” someone inquired. The news had spread widely, so most people were aware of it.

Jada’s breath caught in her throat. She hadn’t anticipated Madisyn would disclose this in front of everyone. Was Madisyn out of her mind?

Madisyn appeared oblivious to the issue. “Jada, we are all your friends. It’s fine to discuss it here, isn’t it? Our main focus should be solving the problem.”
