“Madisyn, I’ll have a word with him later. If this happens again, I won’t overlook it!” Hector said with righteous indignation.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t overlook it this time,” Madisyn scoffed. “Out of all of them, the vice finance director must have taken the most in kickbacks!” Madisyn picked up her phone.

Hector’s heart raced. He felt a twinge of anxiety about her next move.

Madisyn sent a message to Andrew detailing that most of the kickbacks Jamir received had been passed to the vice finance director under various pretexts. The vice finance director had pocketed seventy percent of these kickbacks. This information was the result of a swift and thorough investigation.

“You can’t just resign and walk away. I’ve called the police; you will return the kickbacks you’ve taken!” Madisyn said firmly, silencing the canteen with her commanding presence.

Soon after, the police arrived, and the vice finance director appeared visibly frightened.

The vice finance director looked at Hector, hoping to speak, but Hector interjected, “I didn’t expect you to stoop so low. I’m truly disappointed! You should reflect on your actions.”

With that, Hector departed.

Once the canteen issue was resolved, the arrogant chefs regretted their actions and approached Madisyn, pleading for forgiveness, which Madisyn promptly dismissed.

The employees of Johns Group expressed their gratitude. “Miss Johns, thank you! Without your intervention, we’d still be stuck with bad food.”

“Yes, Miss Johns, you were decisive in handling those responsible,” they added.

Everyone was impressed by Madisyn. It was well-known that the vice finance director was problematic, yet as a senior manager, he was not easily dismissed. However, the issue was swiftly resolved with Madisyn’s intervention.

Madisyn smiled and replied, “Thank you for your dedication during this period. I’ll discuss it with Dane and ensure you receive a bonus.”

Madisyn approached a corner where Andrew was seated. He looked at her warmly and inquired, “Has the problem been resolved?”

“Yes, thanks to your efficient investigation.”

Andrew shut his laptop and replied, “I always prioritize your concerns.”

Madisyn glanced at his laptop, noting its customized features. Could Andrew also be skilled in hacking? It appeared she was continually discovering new aspects of Andrew.

“But I’m concerned that Hector might not take this well. You’ve really shaken things up. Be cautious moving forward,” Andrew said.

“With you by my side, what is there to fear?” Madisyn responded with a confident and radiant smile.

Andrew also smiled, “Alright, let’s head home. I’ll drive.”

After arriving home, Madisyn relayed the events to Dane. The next day, she had dinner with Elaine and Glenn.

“I’ve been monitoring the vice finance director, looking for leverage against him. I just didn’t expect you to act so swiftly, Madisyn,” Glenn, usually a stern figure, now regarded Madisyn with a kind expression. “Had you been investigating him beforehand?”

Indeed, she had done some prior investigating, but initially, it was Hector she was scrutinizing.

“Well, somewhat. I suspected something was off with the canteen food, so I looked into it and discovered it linked back to the vice finance director,” Madisyn explained.

Elaine beamed with pride and said, “My daughter is so incredible! Honey, you’re not as sharp as your daughter!”

“I’m getting older, and Madisyn is more capable than I am. I’m comforted knowing she’ll be managing the company alongside her brother,” Glenn expressed his satisfaction.

“No, Madisyn is just a young woman. Why should she be burdened with company matters? Don’t overload her with tasks,” Elaine immediately expressed her concern.

“I understand, I understand,” Glenn quickly reassured her.

Madisyn smiled at them, knowing her parents wanted her to support her brother while also being concerned about her becoming overwhelmed. “Dad, Mom, I’m okay. It’s challenging for Dane to handle the company by himself. I can assist him,” Madisyn responded.

Glenn was comforted. “Madisyn, you’re so wise. But we won’t pressure you. You can engage as much or as little as you wish. Dane and I will handle the business.”

“I believe everyone needs to work to find their sense of purpose, so I just can’t relax. I need to balance life with some work,” Madisyn replied.
