Chapter 455
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 455:
Wesley scoffed, âExactly. Huh, both of these two are unbelievable.â His hatred for both Susan and Madisyn ran deep. In his eyes, they were nothing but troublemakers, far from being decent people. The influential figures and elites in the room had completely lost any positive opinion they once held about Susan.
âSusan is downright ruthless. Why are the Johns and Klein treating her so well?â
âItâs all because of Madisyn. Werenât she and Susan close friends once upon a time?â
Isabella sneered in disgust, âSusan, youâre beyond shameless. You used your friendship with Madisyn to get close to Andrew and Dane, and now you have the nerve to betray her. You owe Madisyn and everyone else here an apology.â
âIsabella, you really need to relax. You canât keep jumping to conclusions and letting yourself get misled,â Madisyn replied calmly. Isabella furrowed her brow in confusion. Wasnât she trying to help Madisyn?
âThe staff member already confessed. It was Susanâs doing,â Isabella insisted.
Ignoring Isabella, Madisyn turned her attention to the staff member. âYou mentioned that Susan handed you the box and gave you money. So, whereâs the money?â
âI havenât received it yet, but she promised me one hundred thousand,â the staff member said.
A hundred thousand was no small sum, and everyone in the room seemed to acknowledge that.
âI didnât do it. Why are you framing me like this?â Susan cried, tears welling up in her eyes.
Dane, his face stern and unyielding, responded icily, âI suggest you come clean and tell the truth.â
The staff member, visibly shaken by Daneâs cold glare, stammered, âB-but that is theâ¦â

Jada turned to Susan and said, âSusan, the staff member has already confessed. You might as well come clean too. Are you seriously going to let her take the fall for everything?â
Jadaâs words painted Susan as utterly ruthless in the eyes of everyone present. At least, that was how it seemed to everyone watching. Fighting back her tears, Susan exclaimed, âIf none of you believe me, go ahead and set a professional to read our lips so you can know what we were talking about.â That was something no one had seen coming.
Wesley, out of the blue, chimed in, âHey Jada, isnât lip reading one of your skills? You are part of the Qiviut Organization, after all. Why donât you go ahead and see what they were saying?â
Jada was caught off guard by Wesleyâs sudden suggestion. But the moment Wesley finished speaking, eyes turned to Jada, filled with admiration and respect.
âWait, Jada is part of the Qiviut Organization?â someone whispered in surprise.
âThe Qiviut Organization is no joke. My cousin tried to get in, but they turned him down,â another voice added. âNo wonder Jadaâs so famous around Ansport. She really is incredible,â someone else remarked with admiration.
Jada had no interest in reading Susanâs and the staff memberâs lips, but with everyone looking up to her, she felt compelled to say, âAlright, Iâll give it a try, though lip reading isnât exactly my specialty.â
Wesley grinned, clearly impressed. âYouâre always so modest, Jada. You say you canât do it, but then you nail it every time.â
Jada had no choice but to start analyzing the surveillance footage. The movements of both Susanâs and the staff memberâs lips were clearly visible on the video. The entire room fell silent.
âAlright, Iâve mostly figured it out,â Jada said a little awkwardly. âThe staff member asked Susan what was in the box, and Susan told her to present it as Madisynâs auction item. She even promised to pay her a hundred thousand afterward.â
Upon hearing this, the staff member, looking deeply wronged, exclaimed, âI honestly believed it was Madisynâs idea! I had no clue Susan was setting her up. I swear I didnât know!â
âIf what sheâs saying is true, then how does Susan still have the nerve to act innocent? Sheâs disgusting!â someone said angrily.
âExactly! I agree. The charity auction should blacklist her right now. My company and my friendâs company will never do business with Susan again.â
âIf Susan becomes the head of the Riggs Group, Iâll blacklist the entire company,â another person added. Jadaâs eyes held a trace of sadness, but deep down, her heart was filled with joy. At long last, she had secured a victory that felt undeniably sweet. Did Susan honestly believe that things would go smoothly for her just because she had stepped away from the Riggs Group? She would never be free of the Riggs Group. It rightfully belonged to her. Once this situation became public, their father would never dream of handing the company to Susan. Meanwhile, Madisyn and Susanâs friendship would officially come to an end. Everything was unfolding just the way she had hoped. Jada had to put in effort to keep herself from bursting into laughter.
âI really donât think thatâs the case,â a sudden voice broke through the discussions.
All eyes turned toward the source of the voice, and there stood Jared.
With a raised brow, he asked, âJada, are you absolutely certain youâre reporting what they actually said?â
âMr. Cooper, Iâm not a professional at this. I can only make out the general idea of what was said,â she replied.
Jared nodded and responded, âYouâre right; youâre definitely not a professional.â
Jada couldnât help but feel a bit puzzled by Jaredâs sudden involvement. Someone in the crowd remarked, âIsnât Cooper also part of the Qiviut Organization? Does that mean he can read lips too?â
âIâve taken an interest in it and studied it a bit. But to avoid giving you any wrong information, Iâll have my friend handle it.â Without missing a beat, Jared made a video call.
A figure appeared on the phone screen. Those familiar with him couldnât contain their excitement when they recognized him.
âThatâs Jensen Kinneyâthe best lip reader in the entire county!â
âMr. Cooper certainly has influential friends.â
Jared then angled the screen toward the surveillance footage and requested, âCould you play it again so my friend can take a look at what they actually said?â
