Chapter 463
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 463:
Nearly everyone online was tearing into Madisyn, insisting that Jada was more suitable for Andrew. Damari lay in bed, stormy and clearly showing signs of his rising frustration. Sensing his anger, Jada hurried to reassure him, âDamari, I donât follow these things. Iâve been focused on taking care of you and havenât had a chance to look at my phone.â
âReally? Wasnât it you? Who else would have a motive to defame Madisyn?â Susanâs tone dripped with mockery. Jadaâs face flushed with indignation. âSusan, youâve crossed a line. Youâre my sister, and Iâve always held you in high regard. But with Damariâs health in such a delicate state, do you really have to add to his stress?â
Susan fell silent, her expression thoughtful. She didnât want to add to Damariâs burdens, so she said carefully, âDamari, Madisyn is tied up with something important right now. Not that she doesnât want to see you.â
âI understand. Youâre both so kind.â Damariâs expression softened at the mention of Madisyn. âYou donât need to come by so often. I can manage.â
Though he was struggling, Damari was resolved to hold on until Madisyn could visit. Sensing the gentle resolve in his eyes, Susan felt a wave of admiration. He was truly a good man, and she quietly wished for his continued strength and well-being. Damari, clearly drained, gestured for them to leave.

As Jada and Susan stepped out of the ward, Jadaâs hand shot out, landing a sharp slap across Susanâs face. The sound was sudden and jarring.
Susan, completely unprepared, gasped as a stinging pain spread across her cheek. She instinctively raised her own hand in response. Two quick, stinging slaps hit Jadaâs face in rapid succession.
The corridor fell into stunned silence. The Klein familyâs relatives were bewildered. What had prompted this sudden clash?
Jada, taken aback and fuming, stared at Susan with a mix of shock and fury. Her voice trembled with anger. âSusan, I slapped you because youâve gone too far. How dare you upset Damari right now? Do you want him to suffer more?â
âWhat about you, Jada? Is this really the time to be posting those articles online? How shameless!â Susanâs voice was sharp, dripping with contempt.
âIâve told you, I didnât do it.â
âYou know full well whether youâre guilty or not!â Susan shot back, her tone dripping with derision.
The relatives quickly rallied to Jadaâs defense. âJada isnât someone who would do something like that. And who are you to speak to her this way? Sheâs set to marry Andrew soon.â
âReally? Madisyn is the one who will marry Andrew!â Susan snapped, her voice rising.
âMadisyn hasnât even come to visit Damari for ages. Does she really deserve to marry Andrew? We donât think so!â
The relatives chimed in, their voices growing more intense.
âWho do you even think you are?â Susan sneered, finding their support ridiculous. âWhy should anyone care about your opinions on who will marry Andrew?â Her words were so cutting that everyoneâs faces turned pale with discomfort.
âWeâre all part of the Klein family, and we need to stick together. If Madisyn canât even show up when it matters, she doesnât deserve to be the hostess of the family!â Damariâs distant nephew, Soren Klein, added coldly, his voice echoing with disdain.
âSo what? Youâre just Damari and Andrewâs relatives. Stay out of their matters,â Susan said, her voice as cold as winterâs chill. What a disgrace! A group of distant relatives actually trying to meddle in Damari and Andrewâs affairs.
The relativesâ faces flushed with anger and indignation. Jada had been nothing but respectful to them, but now this newcomer was openly disrespectful.
âWho are you exactly? You have no right to say that here!â one of them snapped.
Susan, with a contemptuous smirk, didnât answer that question. âYou can flatter Jada all you want, but itâs Madisyn who holds Andrewâs heart. Jada will never be Mrs. Klein,â she said, her tone dripping with disdain. Then she turned sharply and left, her heels clicking defiantly on the floor.
The relatives erupted into heated whispers and angry murmurs.
With tears brimming in her eyes, Jada stepped forward to address the group. âPlease donât let her words upset you. My sisterâs harshness comes from our personal issues. Iâm truly sorry you had to experience this.â
âSo, itâs your sister. What a letdown. Sheâs nothing compared to your family. Donât worry, Jada, weâre here for you,â one of the relatives said.
Jadaâs face expressed gratitude, but a steely resolve flashed in her eyes. She was unwavering in her ambition to marry Andrew.
The days dragged on, each one heavier than the last. Damariâs condition worsened with each passing hour, bringing him close to the edge. The tension in the room was palpable.
Everyone could see that Damariâs time was running out. At Damariâs bedside, a group of people wept openly, their sorrow filling the room.
Andrew had put aside all his responsibilities to stay by Damariâs side, his attention divided between caring for him and monitoring the progress in the lab. The new drug was nearly complete, and Mia had been working non-stop in the lab, expediting the progress.
It was their last chance to save Damari, and Andrew knew he owed Mia a great debt.
Damari lay motionless in his coma, and Andrew stood by, his face a mask of concern.
âAndrew, thereâs something important I need to tell you,â Soren said, stepping closer with a grave expression. âUncle Damariâs life is hanging by a thread. The future of the Klein family is in your hands now. We all know your strength, but remember this: donât let a woman sway your decisions.â
Andrew regarded him with a cold, unwavering stare. Soren shifted nervously under Andrewâs intense gaze but tried to assert his authority. âMadisyn may be beautiful, but as the head of the Klein family, you need a fiancée who can truly support the familyâs goals. Jada, for example, is not only sharp and capable but has also shown great dedication to Damari in recent days.â
