Chapter 465
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 465:
âAndrew, Jada has done all this for you. If you still refuse to marry her, thatâs truly unfair!â
âAndrew, for the sake of your grandfather, please say yes. Would you really let him pass away?â
Everyone was persuading Andrew. If he refused, he would be seen as unfilial. If word got out, his reputation could be destroyed. Andrew stared at the box containing the medicine. It was from his lab.
He scoffed, âIs this medicine yours?â
Seeing Andrewâs skeptical look, Jada furrowed her brow and responded, âI secured it from somewhere, but Iâve paid a great deal for it.â
Mara sympathized with her and said, âOh, you foolish girl, youâve given so much, and yet Andrew doesnât seem to care. Havenât you seenâ¦?â
Jada bit her lip and gazed at Andrew, tears brimming in her eyes.

Mara said, âListen here, Andrew. If you donât marry Jada, you wonât get the medicine! As her mother, I must secure whatâs best for my daughter!â
âJust say yes, Andrew!â
âAre you really going to let your grandfather die?â
The room began to buzz with chatter. Soren stepped up and patted Andrew on the shoulder. âPlease, Andrew, agree! Your grandfather doesnât have much time.â
Andrewâs expression was icy cold. Even he wouldnât consent! He felt a surge of frustration. Was he really that hung up on Madisyn?
However, Jada didnât need to be anxious. It was Andrew who should be. If Damari died, everyone would point their fingers at Andrew. The room was tense, with Andrew remaining silent, and nobody could stay calm.
âAndrew, why are you silent?â
âYour grandfather canât hold on much longer. Canât you see that?â
âAndrew, please listen to Mara. I canât understand why youâre hesitating. Jada is such a wonderful girl!â
Everyone felt let down seeing Andrew not meet their expectations. They believed it was Andrewâs luck that Jada wanted to be with him, yet he was still unsure.
Suddenly, a loud noise captured everyoneâs attention. Damariâs heartbeat was irregular!
âCall the doctor! Call the doctor!â someone yelled. âDamari canât hold on much longer. Andrew, what are you doing?â
Soren grabbed Andrewâs shoulders and pleaded, âSay something. Please say yes to Mara!â
Doctors arrived, cleared the room, and began treating Damari. Soon, one of the doctors emerged from the room and said to Andrew, âHe doesnât have much time left. Itâs already miraculous that he has lasted this many days. You should prepare yourself mentally.â
Andrew clenched his fists, his veins bulging visibly. Jada sobbed and said, âMom, donât hold me back anymore.â
Yet, Mara replied, âEven now, Andrew refuses to marry you. Madisyn matters more to him than his grandfather. You shouldnât waste your feelings on someone like that!â
The people around them stirred, urging Andrew to agree right away. Soren, visibly angry, shouted, âAndrew, if your grandfather knew what youâre doing, he would regret ever raising you! Youâre giving up your grandfatherâs chance for a miracle cure for Madisyn!â
Andrew checked his phone, his face showing signs of stress for once.
âLetâs leave,â Mara said, taking Jadaâs hand. âWe need to accept other peopleâs choices.â
âMara, please donât leave.â Soren pleaded for her to stay and looked at Andrew with disappointment. âAndrew, are you willing to watch your grandfather die? We, the Kleins, donât need a leader like you!â
Just then, the doctor noticed the box Jada was holding. Surprised, he asked, âIs this the medicine? It has been produced already? Why didnât you say something? With this, Mr. Klein could pull through!â
This was an unexpected glimmer of hope! The doctor was thrilled, but he noticed the odd expressions around him and furrowed his brow, asking, âWhatâs the issue?â
Soren scoffed. âMara only offered it on the condition that Andrew marries Jada, but heâs refused! Heâs choosing a woman over his own grandfather!â
The doctorâs expression turned grave. Having treated the family, he was well acquainted with their dynamics. He had always seen Andrew as a devoted grandson. How could he possibly act this way?
The doctor felt compelled to urge Andrew. âMr. Klein, life is the most precious thing. Your grandfather has always been good to you. Can you really bear to let him die?â
Andrewâs expression remained stoic as he silently gazed towards the elevator.
âMr. Klein!â The doctor was confused by Andrewâs apparent indifference. Giving up his grandfatherâs chance at a cure for a woman?
If word got out, the backlash would be severe!
Seeing that Andrew remained silent, Mara was furious. Her daughter Jada was a wonderful girl, yet Andrew dismissed her so casually! She stormed off while gripping Jadaâs wrist. Jada glanced back at Andrew, tears streaming down her face.
