“Not good. He looks too unwell. I want to stay with him for now,” Madisyn replied.

That night seemed destined to be long. Howard stayed up all night, urging Madisyn to sleep several times, but she refused. How could she sleep while he was awake?

She feared that if she fell asleep, something would happen to Howard. After all, he really didn’t look well.

“I’m fine. Howard, you should be the one to rest. After all, you haven’t slept since yesterday. I’ll stay here and watch over her. Go get some rest.”

“I can’t sleep,” Howard said, shaking his head. “Madisyn, you should go to sleep now.”

Howard and Madisyn argued over who should sleep. But in the end, neither of them slept. They were wide awake until dawn.

In the morning, Andrew came with their breakfast.

Howard immediately apologized to him. “Andrew, I’m sorry for making you worry. You can take Madisyn home with you. I’m fine here.”

Howard looked at Madisyn gratefully. He knew she was only worried about him.

Suddenly, he hugged her. Tears streamed down his face again. “Madisyn, thank you. Also, I’m sorry. I am your older brother, and I am supposed to take care of you. But instead, I’ve made you worry so much.”

“Howard, what are you talking about? You are my brother. Of course, I should be taking care of you,” Madisyn said gently, comforting him.

But her words only made Howard feel worse. As an older brother, he should be the one doing this. He shouldn’t make her worry about him too much.

Howard was about to say something when his phone suddenly rang. It was an unfamiliar number, so he hesitated for a moment. But in the end, he answered it. Madisyn and Andrew didn’t know what the person on the other end of the line said. They just saw Howard’s eyes widen, and he bolted out of the ward without even saying a word to Madisyn. Everything happened so fast that Madisyn didn’t even get the chance to react. She could only stare at the door of the ward in shock.

“What is going on?”

Andrew’s gaze shifted from the door back to Madisyn, and he said, “If I’m not mistaken, that call probably has something to do with Milly.”

Madisyn’s expression became calm. Could it be that Milly was back? She hoped Milly could solve her problems.

Since Howard was no longer there, Madisyn and Andrew also left the ward. Madisyn hadn’t slept all night, and she felt so exhausted that she fell asleep in the car. She was already at home when she woke up. Andrew must be the one who carried her back to the room.
