Chapter 524

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 524:

Mercer fully expected Madisyn to be eliminated and disqualified at any moment. But something incredible happened instead. Wesley sped up, yet he failed to hit Madisyn. With expert timing, she executed a sharp drift, putting good distance between herself and Wesley. At the same time, Andrew surged forward and pushed Wesley off the track. Just like that, Wesley found himself disqualified from the race.

The sound signaling his disqualification blared across the track.

Mercer’s face twisted in disbelief. Those sneaky YM Club racers were too clever for their own good. As the reality sank in, Wesley’s anger boiled over, leaving him shaky with frustration. “This isn’t fair! They broke the rules.”

Mercer’s expression was clouded with fury. The injustice gnawed at him, but what options did he have? Wesley had a long history of using similar strategies to take others out, and now that it was his turn to be the target, there wouldn’t be a soul to defend him; they would all simply take pleasure in his downfall.

“Well, look at that—Wesley’s out of the race,” someone remarked with feigned sympathy.

“Wesley’s one of the best the HB Club has got,” another chimed in. The crowd began to buzz with murmurs. Though they spoke words of pity, there was an unmistakable undercurrent of satisfaction in their voices.

Mercer inhaled deeply, fuming inside. What goes around comes around, after all. Wesley had been taken out in the same way he had eliminated others. And now, there wasn’t a single argument they could muster to defend him. Grinding his teeth, Mercer growled, “If you’d been faster, you wouldn’t have been the one knocked out.”

“I WAS fast,” Wesley shot back, refusing to back down. He recalled what had just happened—Madisyn’s speed had been incredible. She had flown through that curve like it was nothing. Realizing he had been outclassed, Wesley finally went quiet.

Now, Jada remained in the lead, with Madisyn hot on her tail. She hadn’t imagined that Madisyn would handle Wesley so effortlessly. But Jada was resolute—there was no way she would let herself get overtaken. Her confidence surged as she focused every ounce of energy on the track ahead.

There wasn’t a single female racer in the country who could beat her—Jada was sure of it. Once she got serious, she was unbeatable. Yet as she glanced behind, she was shocked to see that the woman was still right on her tail, keeping up with every move.

“Jada, there’s a series of tight turns coming up. She won’t be able to pass you there. Slow down and wait for our teammates to catch up,” Mercer’s voice crackled through the intercom.

Jada reduced her speed. The stretch ahead was filled with sharp bends, a sheer cliff on one side, and a steep drop on the other. A fall here would be deadly. Jada intentionally dropped her speed, making sure to block Madisyn’s way. With the road being so narrow, there was no room for two; Madisyn had no choice but to stay behind.

Jada relished the sensation of having full control over the situation.

Back in the observation room, Hamlin spat, “Huh, you’re absolutely shameless!” He gripped the armrest of his wheelchair tightly, his face twisted in anger.

“You’re just bitter because you can’t pull off moves like that,” Mercer shot back, completely unapologetic. He threw a smug look Hamlin’s way. “I told you, there’s no way you’re winning this.”

“You’re despicable!” Hamlin muttered angrily.

Mercer wasn’t fazed. All that mattered to him were the rankings, and nothing else. Hamlin’s eyes were glued to Madisyn’s car, anxiety running high. The finish line was right after these sharp turns. If Jada purposely blocked her path, there was no way Madisyn, despite her abilities, could take the top spot. The underhanded tactics of the HB Club were infuriating.

Hamlin wasn’t alone in thinking this; others shared the same frustration, but no one had the nerve to voice it aloud.

Then, out of nowhere, the entire situation flipped.

Madisyn’s car, trailing behind Jada just moments before, shot forward like a rocket, veering up the cliffside and passing Jada in the blink of an eye.

Jada barely had time to react before a dark blur zoomed past her. Her eyes went wide in shock. Was that… really a car?

“She overtook you!” Mercer’s voice crackled through the intercom, snapping Jada back to reality. A wave of fear settled over her as she realized that no matter how hard she pushed, she couldn’t even catch sight of the car in front anymore.

Back in the observation room, every person was left speechless, blown away by Madisyn’s incredible move. “That was insane! What an incredible move,” someone exclaimed in awe.

“Wait, isn’t that Rosemarie’s signature move? Who is this driver? Since when did the YM Club have someone this talented?”

Admiration for Hamlin spread among the spectators. Hamlin’s fingers trembled ever so slightly, excitement coursing through him. Could this really be Rosemarie behind the wheel? If it was, then during the earlier races, she must have only just come of age. The thought made him realize she was nothing short of a prodigy.

Mercer pounded his fist on the table in frustration, but there was no time to dwell on it—YM Club’s second car had already closed the gap, trailing right on Jada’s tail. “Jada, block him. Don’t let him through!” Mercer barked out orders in a hurry.

Jada noticed the threat and instantly moved to block the racer behind her. But her opponent’s reflexes were lightning-quick—right as she made her move, he shifted lanes and zipped past her without hesitation.
