Chapter 525

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 525:

Ultimately, Jada and Waylon crossed the finish line together, both tying for third place. As Jada climbed out of her car, a wave of despair washed over her. The YM Club had claimed the top three positions, ensuring the team championship was undoubtedly theirs. How could this happen? The YM Club, a team she had always dismissed, had suddenly transformed into an unstoppable force. Jada felt utterly miserable.

Wesley, equally devastated, turned to her and said, “Something feels off about them.” She clenched her teeth in frustration but remained silent.

Holding her hand tightly, Wesley urged, “Jada, we can’t let this happen. If we don’t do something, everyone will mock us.”

“But… they did win.” Jada’s heart ached at the thought.

“They didn’t win the right way!” Wesley’s voice held a hint of dark determination as he added, “I talked it over with the coach; they can’t be allowed to claim the championship.”

Jada met Wesley’s gaze and understood his unspoken words instantly, yet she remained quiet.

As the event concluded, a throng of spectators rushed over to Hamlin.

“Hamlin, how did you manage it? Your team is full of surprises!”

“Hamlin, you’re incredible! First place is surely yours!” A rare smile crept onto Hamlin’s face as he replied, “The results aren’t finalized yet.”

“Do we really need to wait? Your team has already set the record,” someone pointed out, admiration filling the air.

With other teams still needing to race, it wasn’t until the afternoon that all the races finally wrapped up. The time had come for the rankings to be revealed. The members of the YM Club were buzzing with excitement.

“This time, first place is surely ours! Our performance was exceptional; we must have shattered records.” The captain beamed with enthusiasm, and Madisyn offered a faint smile.

Just then, a few figures approached from the opposite side. Jada’s eyes widened in surprise as she spotted Andrew standing there. Could he be the one who had joined the YM Club at the last minute? Wesley was equally taken aback.

“Andrew, what brings you here?” he questioned.

“Is there an issue with me being here?” Andrew replied coolly.

“It’s not that…” Wesley stumbled over his words. He knew Andrew had a history in racing and was quite talented, but he hadn’t raced in years. Wesley never anticipated him returning to the scene and joining their fierce rival, the YM Club. Grabbing Andrew’s arm, he urged, “Andrew, do you realize what kind of team the YM Club is? They’re practically bankrupt. If you want to… Just let me—our team is the most popular one right now!”

“To me, every team is just the same,” Andrew’s voice was steady, laced with a touch of arrogance.

Wesley couldn’t dispute that; Andrew’s prowess was evident. Despite his years away from the track, he still dominated the competition.

“Andrew, you’re going to regret this decision,” Wesley sighed in frustration. He had come to mock the YM Club, but with Andrew in the mix, he decided to leave after that.

Jada’s gaze fell on the veiled woman in the crowd, and a sudden sense of unease crept over her. Why had Andrew unexpectedly joined the YM Club? Could that woman be Madisyn? No! The thought was quickly pushed aside as Jada shook her head. Madisyn was merely a novice, while this woman radiated experience as a racer.

As the YM Club members watched the HB Club depart, the captain cursed, “Idiots!”

Madisyn calmly replied, “Just ignore them. There’s no point getting worked up over opponents we’ve already beaten.”

The captain chuckled in agreement. “You’re right. Let’s see how they’ll mock us in the future. The award ceremony is about to begin. Let’s head over.”

All the teams had gathered at the award podium, with drones buzzing overhead to broadcast the event live. The most thrilling moment in the racing scene was on the horizon.

“Everyone showcased their brilliance in this race. Now, I will announce the top three teams!”

“In third place, we have the Graceful Team!” Cheers erupted as the Graceful Team members eagerly approached the podium.

“In second place, we have the HB Club.” Unlike the excitement surrounding the third-place team, the HB Club members appeared noticeably less enthusiastic and even visibly upset as they stepped onto the stage. A hush fell over the audience; no one dared to clap.

The live stream chat was alive with activity.

“What? The HB Club is only in second place? Which team took first? Could it be the Vast Team?”

“No way! The first-place team is going to surprise everyone. I’m here at the venue, and honestly shocked.”

“How dramatic! Could it possibly be the YM Club?”

“I can’t believe it! The YM Club is nearly bankrupt. How could they claim first place?”

“I don’t believe it either. If they’re first, I’ll eat my hat,” the host eagerly declared. “Next up, the champion of this team race: the YM Club!”

A mix of admiration, jealousy, and envy swept through the crowd as five members of the YM Club made their way to the stage.

“Ugh! They don’t deserve the championship. Someone on their team used performance-enhancing drugs.” The shout sent shockwaves through the crowd. Performance-enhancing drugs were strictly prohibited in any competition. Anyone caught using them faced disqualification and blacklisting.
