Chapter 532
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 532:
Madisyn saw the words on the form and immediately asked, âWhatâs wrong?â
Susan looked startled. Panic flooded through her as her eyes landed on Madisyn. She quickly hid the surgery form behind her back, unsure how to explain. Tears began to slip down her cheeks.
Madisyn embraced her, her heart weighed down with sadness. âIâm here.â She gave Susanâs shoulder a reassuring pat. The warmth of the hug only made Susanâs tears fall harder, her heart aching with a sorrow too heavy to bear. Through her sobs, she choked out, âIâm pregnant.â
Madisyn froze, caught off guard. âIsnât that a good thing?â she asked, her voice uncertain.
âBut I donât know who the father is,â Susan replied, her eyes swollen from crying. Madisyn was utterly shocked. The Susan she knew wasnât the type to get caught up in something like this.
Susan then opened up to Madisyn about Onyx, sharing the deep emotional pain that weighed heavy on her heart. After hearing the story, Madisyn felt even more sympathy for Susan and wrapped her in a tight embrace. âDonât worry, even if my brother finds out, heâll forgive you.â
âBut heâll be so hurt. I donât want him to suffer,â Susan cried, her voice thick with anguish.
Madisyn could see the exhaustion etched on Susanâs face. This secret had been buried in her heart for so long; she must have been carrying immense pain.
Madisyn gently wiped away her tears, her voice soft and soothing. âSusan, maybe itâs not as bad as you think. Letâs go back and take some time to think it through. We can do a test later. What if the child is mine?â
âI canât take that chance,â Susan replied, her distress clear in every word.

âAn abortion can be really harmful to your health. Letâs go back and think it over, okay?â Madisyn suggested softly. But Susan had already made up her mind. She had thought about it for a while and had finally found the chance to go through with it while Onyx was away on a business trip.
âSusan, have you ever considered that maybe nothing happened that night?â
âImpossibleâ¦â Susan was in despair.
âYou said you were drugged and unconscious. So, really, you donât know what happened, do you?â
âI donâtâ¦â
âThen why do we always assume the worst? What if nothing actually happened between you two?â Madisyn asked.
Susan lowered her head, the thought sinking in. Could that really be possible? But if it wasnât true, both she and Dane would suffer deeply.
Madisyn said softly and reassuringly, âLetâs go back first, okay? Maybe itâs not as bad as you think.â Susan, deeply moved, followed Madisyn back.
âCan you promise not to tell your brother about this?â she asked, her eyes filled with hope.
Madisyn assured her gently, âDonât worry, I wonât say a word. Go back and rest. Try not to worry so much. For now, just think of the child as Daneâs. We can do a test.â
Susan nodded, her mood momentarily easing. More than anyone, she hoped the child was Daneâs.
âOh, by the way, arenât you about to compete in that perfume-making competition? Jada seems really confident!â Madisyn remarked.
At those words, a spark ignited in Susanâs eyes. âIf I loseâ¦â
âGood luck! I believe in you,â Madisyn replied, her smile radiating warmth. âIâll be there to cheer you on!â
Susan nodded, her gratitude shining through her smile as she looked at Madisyn. âMadisyn, thank you for always being by my side.â
âBecause youâve always stood by me too!â Madisyn beamed back.
After soothing Susan, Madisyn made her way to the office. Their science fiction film was in the midst of filming, and she frequently checked in on the progress. Thankfully, with Maxineâs remarkable acting skills, everything was going smoothly.
Tatiana would share behind-the-scenes footage, showcasing breathtaking special effects that had drawn a wave of eager fans. People who had once been indifferent to science fiction films were now eagerly anticipating it.
âI hope this film is great!â
âAbsolutely! I really hope Tatiana wonât disappoint us this time.â
âCanât wait! The special effects look amazing!â
Madisyn brushed off the online comments, knowing that until the movie was released, they were merely speculation. She believed in letting the results speak for themselves.
Meanwhile, whenever she had the chance, Madisyn would eavesdrop on Tatiana and Hectorâs conversations. Most of their chats were just casual exchanges.
While Madisyn was working, she suddenly caught Tatiana exclaiming to Hector, âHector, theyâre heading to that location to shoot today! Iâm so excited!â
Excited? What could possibly be so exciting about that? Madisyn furrowed her brow.
Hector replied, a smile evident in his voice, âJust wait and see. Iâve already had people prepare the location. Iâve also coordinated with the director; heâll lead them straight into the trap we set. By then, theyâll die.â
Madisynâs eyes widened in shock. Tatiana continued, âHector, youâre so clever. By getting rid of them, weâll have no future troubles.â
âExactly.â
What exactly were these people plotting?
Madisyn quickly glanced at her crewâs shooting schedule for today. Recently, the snow had fallen thick, and today they were heading to a mountain in the suburbs to shoot. The landscape was blanketed in white, creating a breathtaking scene that felt straight out of a science fiction dream.
Had Sewell been bribed by them?
Madisyn dialed Sewellâs number, but there was no answer. She tried calling Maxine, only to be met with silence again. A wave of panic washed over her. Could it be that something had already happened to them?
âAndrew, can I borrow your helicopter?â Madisyn hurriedly called Andrew.
Andrew replied immediately, not bothering to ask why. The helicopter touched down on the rooftop. As Madisyn stepped aboard, she spotted Andrew already waiting inside. She quickly provided the address, and the helicopter surged into the air, heading straight for their destination.
Andrew then turned to her and asked, âWhatâs going on?â
âMaxine and the others in the crew might be in danger,â Madisyn replied, her tone grave and resolute.
