Chapter 538

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 538:

“This PR strategy isn’t cutting it. But as long as Kathy’s alive, the rumors will die down over time,” someone commented.

“Yeah, but where is Kathy? I just need to know if she’s alright.”

Though the PR effort wasn’t particularly effective, it did manage to salvage some reputation. Later that evening, Global Entertainment’s PR team put out another statement, announcing that Kathy had left the company and returned to her hometown. They supported her decision and allowed her some rest. Madisyn couldn’t help but find this PR stunt ridiculous. Surprisingly, it worked well. Global Entertainment probably hired a bunch of commentators because plenty of people claimed they had seen Kathy around. It successfully created the illusion that Kathy was still alive.

Kathy’s supporters started to have doubts. It was hard for people to believe that Global Entertainment would go so far as to kill a young girl. The story of her going home was the easiest for everyone to swallow.

“People believe what they want,” Andrew said as he sat across from Madisyn.

“Exactly. Global Entertainment has nailed the public’s mindset,” Madisyn responded. “But this plan might backfire. There’s still a group out there waiting to expose their misdeeds.”

“But Global Entertainment can easily buy them off,” Andrew noted.

“True, but what if they don’t trust Global Entertainment anymore?” Madisyn’s eyes gleamed with mischief. She had sent her people to confront those traitors who had lost all faith in Tatiana and Global Entertainment.

Madisyn didn’t think her actions were cruel. Sure, she had roughed them up a bit, but Edge Entertainment had been good to them. This was just their way of paying Edge Entertainment back.

Andrew shot Madisyn a thumbs-up. “Let’s wait and see how it plays out.”

After dinner, they headed home.

That night, Madisyn received a text from Susan saying, “Madisyn, the perfume-making competition’s about to kick off! Are you coming?”

Madisyn responded, “Of course! Just send me the address.”

They texted back and forth for a while before calling it a night.

The next morning, as soon as Madisyn reached the company, she overheard everyone talking about Global Entertainment.

“Global Entertainment’s done for this time. They really went too far, committing murder.”

“It’s terrifying. We’re way off here.”

“Everyone knows how messy things are inside Global Entertainment.”

Back in her office, Madisyn opened Twitter and immediately saw a flood of artists coming forward, all exposing Global Entertainment’s misdeeds.

The artists who had left Edge Entertainment weren’t big names, but their tweets racked up millions of comments.

“I’m Eleanor Vasquez. I switched from Edge Entertainment to Global Entertainment some time ago. Kathy was the person I was closest to, but I never imagined she would be eliminated by Global Entertainment. I wasn’t planning to speak up at first, but when I saw how they smeared her name, I knew I couldn’t keep quiet. Even if it puts me in danger, the truth has come out—Kathy is really gone. This pin was her most treasured possession, and we found it on the rooftop.”

Eleanor presented many pieces of evidence and key clues.

Other artists backed Eleanor’s words.

“I made the switch from Edge Entertainment to Global Entertainment some time ago too. I thought it would open new doors, but instead, it’s been a nightmare. We don’t get the opportunities we deserve, and the other artists ridicule and belittle us. If we want roles, we’re forced to use shady, underhanded means… And even after we’re gone, they drag our names through the mud. Please help us. We can’t stay at Global Entertainment any longer. Global Entertainment needs to come clean about Kathy!”

The artists’ collective plea shocked everyone.

“Wow, it looks like Global Entertainment is really in trouble.”

“Global Entertainment was always a shady company, but murder? That’s going too far.”

“Police, you have to investigate this! Too many people have come forward. We can’t keep quiet any longer,” one person urged desperately.

“I still can’t believe what Leilani went through at Global Entertainment. It’s unbearable. They need to be held accountable for this.”

“This is shocking. How can such an evil company still exist? Do they even care about the law?”

“Global Entertainment’s PR is laughable. Just show us Kathy already!”

Things had spiraled beyond repair. Global Entertainment’s stock price plummeted when the market opened, causing them to lose hundreds of millions of dollars.

Madisyn smirked, thinking to herself if her plan had been grand enough. Global Entertainment was now in absolute chaos, just as she had planned.

In the boardroom, someone shouted, “Get the chairman to figure something out! We’ve poured so much money into it—we can’t let it go!”

The directors refused to accept what was happening. The manager’s expression darkened as he absorbed the weight of the situation. He had dealt with challenges before, but this was unlike anything he had faced.

The boardroom was in total disarray.

“What are you waiting for? Call the chairman!” one of the directors demanded.

The chairman of Global Entertainment was such a mystery that no one even knew who he was. But since the company had always done well, everyone had full confidence in him.
