Chapter 56
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 56:
âThank you,â Talia Moreno muttered, slightly overwhelmed as she accepted the small, elegant bag from Susan.
âYouâre welcome,â Susan replied warmly, her friendly demeanor unwavering.
With a mysterious air, Susan handed Talia the bag. âThese are some samples. We havenât promoted them to the public yet. Feel free to try them out.â
Taliaâs expression hardened, suspicion creeping into her voice. âHow much are they?â she asked coldly.
For a moment, Talia had thought Susan was genuinely being kind. Now, it seemed like another sales tactic.
Susan smiled reassuringly. âItâs on the house. You can use them, and if you have any feedback, weâd love to hear it.â
Taken aback by the generosity, Talia muttered a quick thank you and left the store, her thoughts swirling. Once outside, she checked her phone and found several new messages in her chat group.
The group, consisting of fans who supported a celebrity harmed by a Natural Beauty product, had become a hub for hate against the brand. Talia, their leader, had stirred the pot, urging them to boycott Natural Beauty.
âTalia, how did it go? Are the salespeople at Natural Beauty terrible? They must be frustrated now that they canât compete with Miggie Skincare!â
âI bet they donât even bother promoting their products properly anymore. Natural Beauty is going downhill fast.â
Reading the messages made Talia feel uneasy. The experience at Natural Beauty hadnât been what she expected.
She hesitated before typing, âActually, the customer service at Natural Beauty is really good. The salespeople were polite and helpful. Maybe the issue isnât with them but with the products.â
There was a brief pause in the chat before one of the members responded, âReally? I guess good customer service helps their sales. But itâs still just a job for them, right? You should visit Miggie Skincare and compare the two.â
Talia considered the suggestion, then made her way to Miggie Skincareâs store.
When she arrived, the store was bustling with activity. It took her a while to get inside, and the atmosphere was noticeably differentâmore upscale, but less welcoming. The staff seemed to focus solely on well-dressed customers.
After a long wait, Talia finally caught the attention of a saleswoman. âCan I try your products?â Talia asked politely.
The saleswoman glanced at Talia, her gaze lingering on her modest attire. âThe products are over there. Help yourself,â she said indifferently.
Talia frowned. âIsnât it your job to help customers try the products? How will I know how to use them properly?â
The saleswoman sighed impatiently. âThe instructions are right next to them. You can read, canât you?â
Talia felt a wave of frustration. âIs this how you treat customers?â
âFine, Iâll help you,â the saleswoman responded dismissively, just as a new customer entered the store. Immediately, her attitude changed, and she greeted the newcomer with a bright smile, abandoning Talia without a second thought.
Fuming, Talia left the store without buying anything. Once outside, she vented her frustration in the chat group. âMiggie Skincareâs customer service is awful! They only care about wealthy customers.â
Her message sparked immediate outrage.
âAre you serious? Thatâs terrible!â
âOkay, Iâm definitely not buying from Miggie Skincare.â
Meanwhile, back at Natural Beauty, Susan and Brenda were stepping out of the store when they saw Michelle and her group approaching.
âWell, well, Brenda Peck, playing salesperson now?â Michelle sneered. âHas Natural Beauty fallen so low that you have to sell the products yourself?â
Brenda remained calm. âWe know the products better than anyone, so weâre helping the customers understand them. Is there something wrong with that?â
Michelleâs grin widened. âIt just sounds like Natural Beauty canât afford to hire proper salespeople. At Miggie Skincare, we donât have that problem. Plus, our pay is much better. Oh, and by the way, our sales today reached thirty million dollars.â
Mina, standing beside Michelle, looked smug. Leaving Natural Beauty had turned out to be a blessing for her. âYou should consider switching companies, Brenda. If you ask nicely, I might even get you a recommendation at Miggie Skincare.â
Brenda didnât flinch. âNo thanks, Iâm not interested.â
âSuit yourself. But I heard Natural Beautyâs sales only hit a few million today. How pathetic! Can your company even afford to pay you?â Michelle said with a smirk, her group laughing behind her.
Brenda simply smiled. âWeâll see about that.â
