Chapter 560
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 560:
But after all these years, his parents never returned. Everyone had come to terms with their loss, including his grandfather, who had this gravestone made in their memory.
Though a tiny part of Andrew still clung to the hope that they might be alive, he couldnât escape the reality he had to face. Every year, on his birthday, he made his way here to visit them.
He resented them because they left too soon, without even giving him a final glance.
Yet he still yearned for them.
Andrew shut his eyes, his whole being radiating loneliness and cold detachment.
As the rain halted abruptly, he opened his eyes. âLooks like itâs time to leave.â
Turning around, he was surprised to find a woman standing before him. âWhy are you here?â
Madisynâs heart ached as she gazed at Andrewâs solitary figure. He had always appeared so noble and composed, but she never imagined him looking so vulnerable.
âI thought you might be here, so I came,â Madisyn said gently.
She took out a carefully wrapped gift and handed it to Andrew, standing on her toes to brush a soft kiss against his cheek. âHappy birthday!â
The warmth of her breath lingered on his cheek. Andrew looked at her tender, beautiful face, feeling as if something had hit him deep inside.
Glancing down, Madisyn handed Andrew the umbrella before kneeling down and bowing her head softly.
âRest easy. From now on, Iâll always be by your side,â Madisyn whispered.
Something unfamiliar stirred in Andrew as he lifted Madisyn to her feet and held her close.

She felt like she could barely breathe.
âMadisyn, do you realize youâre making it impossible for me to ever let you go?â Andrewâs voice, rough and low, vibrated against her neck.
Madisyn clung to him, her voice soft. âI never planned on leaving.â
At that time, the heavy rain gradually eased.
Madisyn turned to Andrew and looked at his handsome face. âShall we go?â She gently smiled and added, âYou probably havenât eaten yet. Iâve had dinner prepared.â
Andrew nodded with a smile.
Then, he let Madisyn pull him to the car. When they arrived home, he saw the dining table was already filled with a sumptuous dinner and red wine.
Madisyn looked at Andrew, pursed her lips, and said, âWhy didnât you tell me it was your birthday? If Dane hadnât told me, I wouldâve missed it.â
âYour friend is joining a competition today, right?â Andrew asked calmly.
Madisyn nodded. âYes. But if you had told me it was your birthday, I could have come to you right after the competition.â
Obviously dissatisfied, she added, âYour birthday is a significant occasion, but I didnât even know about it. It makes me feel like a failed girlfriend.â
The dissatisfied look on her face made Andrew feel warm in his heart. He smiled softly. âNo, youâre far from failed. Iâm sorry. I know how much you have on your plate, so I didnât tell you because I didnât want to add to your burden. But donât worry, Iâll make sure to remind you next time. Letâs eat?â
