Chapter 57
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 57:
Susanâs icy gaze met Michelleâs mocking grin. âLaugh all you want. Natural Beauty prioritizes quality over everything else. Weâll outperform your products eventually.â
âReally? Ha! Weâll see about that,â Michelle and her group continued their mocking laughter.
Brenda, unwilling to engage further, led her group away. As they reached the roadside, a sleek car pulled up beside them, and the window rolled down to reveal Madisynâs smiling face.
âThanks for your hard work today. Dinnerâs on me,â Madisyn said warmly.
Everyone exchanged surprised glances, not expecting such an offer.
When they got into the car, they noticed a man already seated inside. His good looks and distinct presence made everyone immediately nervous.
Sensing the tension, Madisyn smiled, trying to ease the atmosphere. âRelax.â
Then, to everyoneâs surprise, the man spoke up. âHello, Iâm Miss Johnsâs assistant,â Andrew introduced himself.

The group exchanged skeptical looks. Was he really just an assistant? His presence and appearance seemed to suggest otherwise. Some of them started speculating silentlyâmaybe Madisyn was living a lavish lifestyle, perhaps even keeping a âpretty boy.â
Madisyn, noticing their strange expressions, sighed internally. It was fine that they were relaxed, but why were their thoughts drifting in that direction?
Soon, they arrived at the New Moon Restaurant, a renowned and luxurious establishment.
âMiss Johns, are we really dining here?â one of them asked in awe.
âYes, any problems?â
âThe average cost here is 1000 dollars per person,â one employee whispered, clearly astonished.
Madisyn chuckled. âDinnerâs on me, donât worry.â
âWow, Miss Johns is awesome!â someone cheered, and the mood quickly turned festive as they stepped into the lavishly decorated restaurant.
Meanwhile, in another section of the mall, Michelle and her group had entered a different restaurant. âYouâre so generous treating us here, Ms. Frey,â one of her colleagues remarked.
âOf course, weâre with Miggie Skincare now, not Natural Beauty,â Michelle replied smugly.
As Michelle settled into her seat, she couldnât resist sending a photo to Brenda, flaunting her evening.
Back in the New Moon Restaurant, Brenda received the message but chose not to respond. She wasnât interested in Michelleâs petty taunting. Instead, she focused on enjoying the dinner with her colleagues.
As they began digging into a feast of lobster and other delicacies, Susan couldnât help but express her gratitude. âThank you, Miss Johns. This is incredible.â
Madisyn smiled. âYouâre welcome. Enjoy.â
At that moment, Andrew carefully peeled a shrimp and offered it to Madisyn. She hesitated for a second, feeling the gesture was overly intimate, but Andrewâs earnest expression softened her.
The other employees exchanged knowing glances and smiles, watching the scene unfold. Madisyn, feeling slightly embarrassed by their reactions, focused on her meal, while Andrew seemed unfazed by the attention.
Later, Madisyn excused herself to the restroom. When she returned, she found Andrew waiting outside.
âWhy are you out here?â she asked, surprised.
âI didnât want to make anyone uncomfortable by staying inside,â Andrew explained calmly.
Madisyn sighed. âMaybe you shouldnât accompany me next time.â
Andrewâs gaze lingered on her, as if he understood something deeper than she was willing to admit.
Madisyn suddenly felt guilty, worried that she might have been too harsh. âAlright, letâs head back in,â she said, softening her tone.
As they approached the door, they overheard the employees inside laughing and chatting.
âI think Miss Johns is really living the high life. Did you see that handsome man with her? Heâs not just her assistant, is he?â one of them remarked.
âHe could easily be a celebrity. They definitely make a good pair,â another chimed in.
Madisynâs cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she heard the conversation.
Andrew chuckled softly. âIf we donât go in soon, they might come up with even wilder stories.â
Madisyn took a deep breath. âLet them talk. Weâll wait out here a bit longer.â
They lingered in the hallway, enjoying the cool evening breeze from the restaurantâs air conditioning. As Madisyn leaned against the railing, feeling a slight chill, she suddenly felt the warmth of Andrewâs coat draped over her shoulders. His familiar cologne filled the air, and she glanced up at him.
Andrewâs eyes were deep and captivating, holding her gaze for a moment longer than she was comfortable with. She quickly averted her eyes, the silence growing heavier between them.
In an attempt to break the tension, Madisyn blurted out, âMy friend thinks youâre so kind to me because you have feelings for me.â
The moment she said it, she realized how blunt it sounded. Quickly, she added, âBut of course, I know youâre kind to me because of Waylon.â
Andrewâs response was immediate and firm. âNo.â
