Chapter 596
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 596:
Norton shared her sentiment, his opinion of Jada sinking like a stone. What innocent angel? It was all nonsense! Every move Jada made was a calculated step toward marrying into a more prestigious family!
Despite his frustration, Norton couldnât help but feel a flicker of sympathy for Wesley, who was blissfully unaware of the situation.
âWesley, I need to have a word with you.â Norton called out, his tone laced with urgency.
Wesley glanced at Norton and made his way over.
Norton stared hard at Wesley, his voice low but firm. âYou do realize Jada used to chase after Andrew, and she recently said she had feelings for me, right? Even knowing this, do you still think sheâs the one for you?â
Wesley replied, âNorton, I know all of that, but Jada explained everything. She said her family pressured her into choosing between marrying into the Santos family and the Klein family.â
âShe fed me the same line. If she truly cared for you, why didnât she choose you from the start? When I started dating Maxine, she began meddling, trying to drive a wedge between us.â Norton spoke with genuine concern. âWesley, she doesnât truly care about you. She chose you because youâre now the CEO of the Lambert Group, nothing more.â
But Wesley refused to listen.
âNorton, youâre only saying that because youâre siding with Madisyn now. I bet youâve heard plenty of bad things about Jada from her, right? We were always on good terms, but ever since Madisyn came into the picture, your relationship with Jada has fallen apart. If I turn my back on her too, Jada wonât have anyone left. Iâm all she has.â
Norton found himself utterly speechless.
He felt an undeniable sense of dread.
Jadaâs ability to manipulate was something else. Wesley, being young and eager to play the hero, was completely caught in her web. He couldnât abandon her.
Realizing that arguing further would be pointless, Norton shifted the conversation. âLetâs drop it. But tell me, why did you go againstââ
âI never wanted to go against him. But Madisynâs ruining everything. I just hope Andrew realizes sheâs a dictator!â Wesley insisted, his voice rising. âIf he breaks up with her, Iâll work with him again, no problem. Iâll do whatever he wants!â

âYou really are something,â Norton sighed. Wesley saw both him and Andrew as brothers, yet he was so easily blinded by deception.
He asked, âWesley, do you really think pushing Andrew like this will get you anywhere? Business isnât a game. And Jada⦠sheâs no saint either. Have we ever gone against you?â
Wesley shot Norton a look of deep disappointment. âNorton, we used to be such good friends. Youâre really losing your way. When you look back on this, youâll regret it.â
Without waiting for a response, Wesley turned on his heel and walked away, unwilling to exchange another word.
Meanwhile, the tension between Maxine and Jada was palpable.
Jadaâs eyes sparkled with smug provocation, but Maxine remained cool, utterly unfazed by her attitude.
Jada had expected Maxine to be jealous, thinking she had landed someone better, but to her surprise, Maxine was as calm as ever. It reminded Jada of Madisynâs demeanor.
