Chapter 597
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 597:
Annoyed, Jada sneered, âHmph, only you would value someone like that. If I could haveâ¦â she trailed off arrogantly.
Maxine, unfazed, replied, âYes, youâre truly remarkable. Didnât I just praise you for that?â Her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Feeling cornered, Jada snapped, âYouâre just jealous of meâjealous that Wesley is better than Norton.â
Maxine calmly responded, âWhy would I envy someone without a brain? Neither Andrew nor Norton wanted you. Doesnât that tell you something? Anyone with a bit of sense knows youâre not worth it.â
Maxine remained unfazed as Jada fumed. âEven if youâre with Wesley now, that fool will drive the Lambert family into the ground soon enough.â
âYouâre talking nonsense!â Jada shouted. Unable to bear it, she raised her hand, ready to slap Maxine.
âWhat do you think youâre doing?â Norton, sensing the brewing storm, shouted, his voice filled with anger.
Jada snapped back to reality, retracting her hand and gazing at them with a pitiful expression as she explained, âMaxine said it wouldnât be long before the Lambert family goes bankrupt, which made me angry.â
âWhat?â Wesley exclaimed in fury. âMaxine, you wretchâ¦â
Before he could finish, Nortonâs fist connected with his face.
Wesley stared at Norton in disbelief, his voice rising in protest.
He had actually hit him!
Nortonâs expression was icy as he pulled Maxine away. Before departing, he said, âNo matter how reckless you get in the future, I wonât care anymore.â
Wesley seethed with fury, his fists clenched tightly. Why did everyone think he was in the wrong?

âDoes it hurt?â Jada asked softly, her fingers brushing against his cheek, her eyes shimmering with concern. âNorton was out of line. He must be under Maxineâs spell. You two used to be the best of friends.â
Wesley felt utterly wronged. âYes!â he replied emphatically.
Clearly, it was Norton who was under a spell, yet he had the gall to believe he was the one in the wrong.
Wesley was determined to prove that he hadnât done anything wrong! In such trying moments, it was always Jada who stood by him.
Wesley wrapped his arms around her tightly, saying, âJada, thank you for always being there for me.â
Jada responded softly, âOh, you silly thing. Of course, Iâll always be here for you. By the way⦠I need to head back soon, or my sister will certainly start speaking ill of me.â
âIs Sugan still bullying you?â Wesley asked, releasing her and fixing her with a serious gaze.
Jada sighed, her silence speaking volumes. Wesley, reading her distress, gritted his teeth and declared, âIâll stand up for you.â
The very next day, Madisyn woke to shocking news.
