Chapter 599
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 599:
âMadisyn, eat up!â Elaine placed a generous portion of food on Madisynâs plate. She said softly, âYouâve had it tough, but weâll make it up to you from now on.â
Madisyn smiled warmly, responding, âMom, Iâm truly happy now. I donât need any compensation.â
âMadisyn, itâs such a joy to have you back,â Glenn said warmly, his eyes shimmering with affection. Dane and Waylon also smiled at her, their eyes brimming with love.
Madisyn pressed her lips together in a smile, a wave of contentment washing over her.
After dinner, the family gathered around the table for a game of cards. Waylon, brimming with eagerness to claim victory, found himself repeatedly bested by his father and brother. However, everything changed the moment Madisyn decided to join in. With her presence, Waylon won a few rounds, his joy soaring to new heights.
âUgh, Madisyn is my lucky charm!â he proclaimed.
Elaine watched from the sidelines, shaking her head in amusement.
In a family filled with sharp minds, there had to be at least one blissfully unaware soul. Madisyn was clearly letting Waylon win, yet he remained basking in the illusion of his own success, with a smug grin plastered on his face.
Watching Madisyn shower Waylon with kindness stirred a twinge of jealousy in Dane and Glenn. In perfect harmony, they teamed up and systematically made Waylon lose everything.
When Waylon glanced at his account balance, now reduced to a pitiful zero, disbelief washed over him. âThatâs downright inhuman!â he exclaimed.
Waylon believed his father and brother had been ganging up on him!
As the night wore on, Elaine smiled warmly, urging everyone to call it a night. Madisyn retreated to her room and sank into her bed. Just then, her phone buzzedâit was a video call from Andrew.
âHappy New Year, darling,â Andrew greeted her. He was dressed in a sleek black outfit that made him look both handsome and a touch mysterious.
Madisynâs eyes softened as she smiled. âHappy New Year.â
âWhenâs your family coming?â he asked, his voice carrying a trace of excitement. He had never sounded this eager, not even when negotiating billion-dollar deals.
âProbably the day after tomorrow,â Madisyn replied.
âPerfect. Iâll make sure to have a meal prepared for them,â Andrew said, his tone warm.
After a brief exchange, he gently urged her to get some rest.
Madisyn turned off the light and closed her eyes, ready to drift into sleep. Just as she was about to, she heard the soft creak of the door opening. It was her mother.
Puzzled, she wondered why her mother had entered her room now.
Before she could ask, she felt the familiar, gentle footsteps approaching her bed. But her mother didnât say a word. Instead, she quietly placed something beside her, kissed her forehead, and slipped out as silently as she had entered.
