Chapter 600
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 600:
Reaching out, Madisyn found a box. Instantly, she understood. It was a New Yearâs gift.
Soon after, Glenn quietly slipped into the room as well. After he left, two more figures appeared. Waylon whispered, âDane, I got here first.â
âIâm the elder one, so I should do it first,â Dane replied, clearly annoyed.
âNo chance, I came here first. You go out,â Waylon shot back.
The two started bickering in hushed tones.
Madisyn had no idea what Dane did to silence Waylon, but eventually, they both placed their gifts and left. Once they were gone, Madisyn opened the boxes one by one.
Dane had given her a house and a gold necklace. Waylonâs gift was a sleek sports car. Her parents had simply handed her bank cards. Holding these gifts, Madisyn felt as if she owned the world, unable to stop herself from smiling.
She picked up her phone, intending to share her feelings with Andrew. But before she could, she saw a transfer from him.
He had given her one million dollars.
Andrewâs message read, âHappy New Year, darling.â A flutter warmed Madisynâs heart as she transferred 5.2 million dollars to him in return. She replied, âHappy New Year to you too.â
Andrew responded almost instantly, âStill awake?â
Madisyn typed back, âAbout to sleep now!â
Andrew replied, âGood night.â
Madisyn set her phone aside and closed her eyes, the soft crackle of distant fireworks echoing outside. A sense of peace settled over her as the moonlight filtered through the tree branches, casting gentle shadows.
Yet, the worldâs beauty stood in stark contrast to the Crimson Strip, infamous for its perilous and illicit dealings.

Nestled at the border of three countries, it stood as one of the most dangerous regions on the planet. Its rugged terrain made it difficult to penetrate. It was a perfect sanctuary for those who engaged in all manner of nefarious activitiesâorgan trafficking, drug smuggling, and human trafficking. The government had made countless attempts to regain control there, but all had failed.
The region had become a breeding ground for gangs and criminal organizations. The most powerful of them was the Serpentine Palers.
At the headquarters of the Serpentine Palersâ¦
Howard trailed behind a man with dreadlocks. As they walked, he passed rows of cages holding the elderly, children, and young adults. Their postures were pitiful, their faces blank with despair.
Suddenly, a woman darted out from a corner, her clothes in disarray, her face etched with panic. A large hand seized her from behind. The man holding her had a long scar slashing across his face. Upon seeing the man with dreadlocks, his demeanor shifted immediately.
