“Alright,” Andrew murmured, burying his head in the crook of her neck and holding her close, savoring the peaceful moment. Madisyn closed her eyes, feeling warmth gradually filling her heart.

They stayed like that for a while, wrapped in each other’s embrace, enjoying a rare sense of tranquility. Suddenly, a phone rang, interrupting the quiet moment. Andrew’s expression shifted, a touch of annoyance flashing across his face. He picked up the phone with a frown, glancing at the screen. When he saw the name flashing, his expression changed slightly.

He let go of Madisyn and said, “I need to take this.” Madisyn watched him walk out of the room, feeling a bit unsettled.

But she didn’t follow him. Instead, she stayed on the bed, waiting for him to return.

When Andrew came back into the room, his expression had returned to normal. However, Madisyn still sensed that something was off. She couldn’t help but ask, “Is everything alright? What was that call about? Did something happen?”

“Nothing important,” Andrew replied, lying back on the bed and pulling her close again. “Just some minor issues at work.”

Madisyn felt a cold aura emanating from him. Something must have really happened. But since he obviously didn’t want to talk about it, she didn’t press him any further. She simply lay there, holding him in silence.

In the afternoon, Madisyn and Andrew strolled through the bustling shopping district, hand in hand, looking for items for their engagement. That included choosing the all-important engagement dress.

Madisyn followed Andrew into a shop, thinking he would help her pick out a dress there. But to her surprise, he asked the shop owner to bring out a custom-made gown.

As the shop owner carefully unveiled the dress, Madisyn’s eyes widened in awe. The beautiful gown was so dazzling that she fell in love with it at first sight.

“Wow, this is gorgeous! But it must have been very troublesome to make. When did you order it?” Madisyn exclaimed, almost unable to tear her eyes away from the dress.

Andrew smiled and replied, “Half a year ago.” Madisyn was shocked. Half a year ago? They hadn’t even known each other for that long at that time.
