Chapter 621

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 621:

Rosemarie shot back coldly, “Are you doubting me again? I told you I haven’t raced in years, and my injury still affects me. But tomorrow, in the solo race, I’ll show them exactly what I’m capable of.”

At the mention of the solo race, Wesley pressed his lips together and fell silent. He exchanged a glance with Jada. Tomorrow would be the real test.

Back at the hotel, Andrew had already ordered food and beer to celebrate their team’s victory.

“Wow, Zahir, you’re incredible! You haven’t lost your edge all these years!” Waylon exclaimed, throwing an arm around Zahir’s neck in excitement.

Zahir gave a slight smile in return.

Andrew asked, “Where have you been all these years? What happened back then, and how did you survive?”

Zahir’s tone grew somber as he recounted, “When I woke up, I was already in the hospital. An elderly couple found me while gathering firewood in the mountains. But they were old… They passed away last year. Since then, I’ve been recovering from my injuries in the hospital…”

He averted his gaze, leaving out the part where he’d considered ending it all more times than he’d care to admit. He was alive, but he’d lost his memories, unsure of the purpose of his life.

Now, though, everything had changed. He had finally reunited with his best friend.

Zahir wanted to ask some questions, but his hands trembled with emotion. Sensing his unease, Andrew spoke gently. “Your parents are still alive, but things have always been tense between you and them. Your grandfather—he’s always been fond of you. He’s still with us. When we get back, I’ll take you to see him.”

Zahir let out a relieved sigh. His biggest fear had been reuniting with his friend only to find out his family was gone. Thankfully, his family was still around.

Zahir visibly relaxed. “Alright, let’s give it everything in tomorrow’s race. I hope we get the results we’re aiming for,” he said with newfound determination.

Everyone nodded in agreement. Waylon extended his hand, and the others placed theirs on top. With a unified push, they brought their hands down forcefully. “For our glory!”

As the night deepened, clouds covered the moon, but soon the sun began to rise, the morning light chasing away the darkness over the city.

Madisyn woke up early, ready for a morning jog. As she passed the stairwell, voices caught her attention. Peering in, she saw a woman stumble into Andrew’s arms. The woman noticed Madisyn and immediately stood upright, apologizing, “I’m sorry, I tripped.” Andrew quickly glanced at Madisyn.

Madisyn remained unfazed. “Who are you?” she asked, her tone composed.

“I’m Savannah Wilson, the princess from Aswil,” the woman replied.

Savannah stood elegantly in her pale yellow gown, radiating a regal grace that far eclipsed Jessica’s.

This had to be the woman Norton had mentioned…
