Chapter 635
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 635:
Jadaâs words hit home. It seemed like the only solution.
âLetâs head back,â Wesley said, taking a deep breath.
A cunning glimmer sparkled in Jadaâs eyes. As long as Wesley remained the CEO of the Lambert Group, her place as the future wife of a CEO would be assured. That was all she needed.
Two hours later, they arrived home.
Waylon and his teammates went to rest, while Andrew prepared to take Zahir to meet Clayton.
Madisyn had been trying to reach Clayton but had no luck. After tracking his whereabouts, she discovered he was at a temple for a spiritual retreat.
She suggested that Andrew take Zahir directly to the temple.
Once they left, Madisynâs phone rang. It was Wesley.
âMadisyn, Iâve explained everything to you,â Wesley said, frustration seeping into his voice. âIf I had known who you really were, I never wouldâve treated you like that. But even after all this, you still choose to be indifferent to me.â He paused, his voice trailing off as his emotions overwhelmed him.
His voice firming with determination, Wesley muttered, âMaybe itâs because Iâm not strong enough yet. But just wait. Iâll make sure Iâm someone you canât ignore.â
Wesleyâs admiration for Rosemarie had long since turned into obsession.
âYouâre insane!â Madisyn spat before abruptly hanging up.
Wesley stormed back into his office, his emotions boiling over. After the insult from Madisyn, he gripped his phone tightly, his anger almost palpable.
âMr. Lambert, while you were away, the executives had a meeting regarding the companyâs future,â the project manager said, his tone earnest. âWe believe itâs in our best interest to continue collaborating with the other three major families. They have access to the Klein familyâs shipping routes, and if we approach them with a cooperative attitude, they might agree to further partnerships.â

âAbsolutely not,â Wesley snapped coldly. âWe donât need to grovel to anyone. Weâll focus on developing other projects without them.â
The project manager stared at Wesley, his frustration barely concealed. It was clear to him that Wesley was being reckless. In such tough economic conditions, launching new projects wasnât something that could be decided on a whim.
After leaving the office, the project manager called Clayton. This time, the call finally connected.
Desperate and nearly in tears, the project manager hastily updated Clayton on everything that had transpired recently.
At Onryx Temple, Clayton had finally carved out some time for meditation, seeking the serene environment he had longed for. Thatâs why he hadnât checked his phone for days.
Just as he completed his spiritual retreat, the project managerâs call came through.
