Chapter 639
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 639:
Jadaâs brows furrowed in confusion, concern creeping into her expression. âIsnât your brother dead? How could he come back?â She was in utter disbelief, struggling to comprehend the shocking news. Finally, Wesley snapped out of his stupor. He shook his head. âI donât know either. Letâs go and find out.â
Wesley approached the elevator with purposeful strides, unwilling to waste any more time. Jada quickened her pace to keep up with him.
In the CEOâs office of Lambert Group, Clayton and Zahir were deep in conversation.
Just then, Wesley barged in. When he saw Zahir on the sofa, he was so shocked that he froze in place. Jada, arriving shortly after him, halted abruptly, her eyes wide in disbelief.
It was really Zahir in the flesh.
Indeed, he had returned.
âZahirâ¦â Wesley whispered, his voice shaking. âYouâre⦠alive? How?â
Claytonâs face darkened upon hearing this. He raised the walking stick in his hand and struck Wesleyâs leg hard. Wesley groaned in pain and dropped to his knees.
Clayton scolded angrily, âYou bastard! You actually wish your brother dead?â
âNo! Thatâs not what I meant!â Wesley was extremely aggrieved, feeling misunderstood.
âFrom now on, you donât need to manage the company. Get out of here!â Claytonâs words struck like a thunderclap, cutting through the tense atmosphere in the office. He was so furious that he didnât want to see Wesley anymore.
Wesleyâs face turned deathly pale.
He stood up and walked toward Zahir. âZahir, where have you been all these years?â
Your escape begins at gⱯlnÏνð®âsâ¤com
âI lost my memory,â Zahir replied in a deep voice.
So that was it. Zahir couldnât return because he had lost his memory.
Wesley gritted his teeth in frustration. He turned to Clayton and said, âGrandpa, Zahir hasnât managed the company for years. He might be unfamiliar with the operationsâ¦â
Before he could finish, Clayton struck him with his walking stick again. âEven if heâs unfamiliar with the company, heâs still far better than you. Have you seen the mess youâve made in the company in just one month?â
Wesley didnât dare to respond.
Jada, who had been silent up until now, was boiling with anxiety. If Zahir took over the company, what would happen to her project?
âMr. Lambert, no one can manage the company perfectly in the beginning. But there is room for improvement. Wesley is still young. Please give him a chance to learn and hone his skills.â Worried about her project, Jada couldnât help but speak up for Wesley.
âWho do you think you are to lecture me? Get out of here! Do you think I donât know that youâve been influencing Wesley? Youâre behind all of this! If you still have any decency, stay away from my grandson!â Clayton showed no mercy.
