Chapter 639

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 639:

Jada’s brows furrowed in confusion, concern creeping into her expression. “Isn’t your brother dead? How could he come back?” She was in utter disbelief, struggling to comprehend the shocking news. Finally, Wesley snapped out of his stupor. He shook his head. “I don’t know either. Let’s go and find out.”

Wesley approached the elevator with purposeful strides, unwilling to waste any more time. Jada quickened her pace to keep up with him.

In the CEO’s office of Lambert Group, Clayton and Zahir were deep in conversation.

Just then, Wesley barged in. When he saw Zahir on the sofa, he was so shocked that he froze in place. Jada, arriving shortly after him, halted abruptly, her eyes wide in disbelief.

It was really Zahir in the flesh.

Indeed, he had returned.

“Zahir…” Wesley whispered, his voice shaking. “You’re… alive? How?”

Clayton’s face darkened upon hearing this. He raised the walking stick in his hand and struck Wesley’s leg hard. Wesley groaned in pain and dropped to his knees.

Clayton scolded angrily, “You bastard! You actually wish your brother dead?”

“No! That’s not what I meant!” Wesley was extremely aggrieved, feeling misunderstood.

“From now on, you don’t need to manage the company. Get out of here!” Clayton’s words struck like a thunderclap, cutting through the tense atmosphere in the office. He was so furious that he didn’t want to see Wesley anymore.

Wesley’s face turned deathly pale.

He stood up and walked toward Zahir. “Zahir, where have you been all these years?”

“I lost my memory,” Zahir replied in a deep voice.

So that was it. Zahir couldn’t return because he had lost his memory.

Wesley gritted his teeth in frustration. He turned to Clayton and said, “Grandpa, Zahir hasn’t managed the company for years. He might be unfamiliar with the operations…”

Before he could finish, Clayton struck him with his walking stick again. “Even if he’s unfamiliar with the company, he’s still far better than you. Have you seen the mess you’ve made in the company in just one month?”

Wesley didn’t dare to respond.

Jada, who had been silent up until now, was boiling with anxiety. If Zahir took over the company, what would happen to her project?

“Mr. Lambert, no one can manage the company perfectly in the beginning. But there is room for improvement. Wesley is still young. Please give him a chance to learn and hone his skills.” Worried about her project, Jada couldn’t help but speak up for Wesley.

“Who do you think you are to lecture me? Get out of here! Do you think I don’t know that you’ve been influencing Wesley? You’re behind all of this! If you still have any decency, stay away from my grandson!” Clayton showed no mercy.
