Chapter 646
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 646:
When Madisyn received Susanâs message, she replied, âIâm glad to hear youâve finally cleared things up with your father.â
âYes, and itâs all thanks to you. If it hadnât been for your advice, I might never have had the courage to ask those questions,â Susan replied.
âSweetheart, have you picked out your engagement dress?â Elaine asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She was eager to know how Madisyn was preparing.
âYes, Mom. Donât worry. Everythingâs ready,â Madisyn replied, smiling gently.
Elaine beamed with happiness. âThere have been so many happy events in our family recently.â
However, her smile faltered slightly as she remembered Howard, who was still missing.
âMom, donât worry too much,â Madisyn said reassuringly. âIâve already contacted Howard. Heâs currentlyâ¦â She paused before continuing, âTrying to win over a woman.â
Elaineâs eyes widened in surprise. âTrying to win over a woman? Who is he pursuing?â
âI donât know either,â Madisyn replied. âBut Iâm sure heâll succeed, and youâll know her when he brings her home.â
Elaine breathed a sigh of relief, knowing Howard was okay. As the weather warmed and the snow melted, the city slowly shed its white coat. The streets buzzed with activity as people resumed their work after the New Year holiday.
Madisyn had been closely monitoring Howardâs movements.
When you were with the Serpentine Players, the stakes were always high, and trust was a luxury few could afford. Every day, you had to stay alert, or you could easily end up six feet under.
Madisyn was eager to expand her organization, so she asked Jared to start the assessments immediately.
Later that evening, Andrew arrived to pick her up for their dinner date. As she stepped out of the car, the cold breeze brushed against her face. Although winter was nearing its end, the nights still carried a chill.

A warm suit jacket settled on Madisynâs shoulders, offering comfort against the evening cold. She looked up and saw Andrew standing beside her, wearing a black shirt. His presence exuded an air of mysterious elegance and self-control.
âIâm not cold,â she said, attempting to remove the jacket. But Andrew kept it in place, wrapping his arm around her waist and guiding her into the restaurant.
Madisyn could only look at him in resignation.
âYouâ¦â she started to speak but was cut off when Andrew placed a finger on her lips. âShh! Look over there.â
Madisyn followed his gaze and saw a man and a woman heading upstairs.
As she watched them, her brows furrowed slightly.
âIsnât that Mara?â she asked.
âYes, thatâs her,â Andrew replied.
