Chapter 650

Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 650:

Wesley gritted his teeth and said, “Jada is in a tough spot too.” He packed his belongings and left.

His grandfather had confiscated all his funds, leaving him with just that meager ten thousand. He found a random five-star hotel to stay in.

That evening, still struggling to make sense of the situation, Jada decided to check on Wesley. Clayton had always been good to Wesley—could he really cut ties with him?

Wesley was holed up in a rather ordinary five-star hotel.

Jada raised an eyebrow in distaste at the sight of it. Considering his usual lavish choices, he would never have settled for such a hotel before.

When she stepped into the room, Wesley’s eyes sparkled with joy at the sight of her. “Jada, I knew you were the only one who truly cared about me!”

“Wesley, perhaps your grandfather is simply disappointed in you. Have a proper conversation with him. He only has two grandsons; he wouldn’t actually sever ties with you,” Jada patiently suggested.

But Wesley immediately shook his head. “No, my grandpa is incredibly decisive. I really pushed him too far this time. He’s already handed all the shares over to my brother.”

Jada furrowed her brows in shock. Could Clayton truly be so heartless?

Wesley felt a swell of emotion within him. As he had hoped, Jada wasn’t going to abandon him. She truly was a good person, and his family and friends had all misjudged her.

“Then think of a solution! Are you just going to sit back and let your brother take the company? What will you do then?” Jada’s voice was tight with frustration.

Wesley, however, wore an innocent expression as he declared, “Jada, I can work and earn money. I’m perfectly capable of taking care of both of us. You don’t need to worry about me. Even if I’m no longer part of the Lambert family, I can still support you!”

As he spoke, Wesley reached out to take Jada’s hand.

“Smack!”

Jada swiftly slapped his hand away, leaving him momentarily stunned. Her face radiated disdain.

“If you want to choose a difficult path, leave me out of it. We’re done!”

“What are you saying, Jada?” Wesley asked, incredulous.

Already weighed down by the chaos in her family, Jada felt a flicker of amusement mixed with anger at Wesley’s assertion that he would work to support her.

What skills did he even possess? As the privileged heir of the Lambert family, he had always been untouchable. Without that title, he was nothing. And he expected her to endure hardship alongside him?

Jada’s irritation and disgust were unmistakable, and Wesley gazed at the increasingly unfamiliar woman before him. A chill settled in his heart.

“Jada, are you looking down on me?”
